It wasn't too terrible, but still more than I wanted it to be. Work and cost wise.

SAE Squadron lights my ass. Those might need to be adjusted down a bit.

See two yellow beams coming down Chandler this morning (I was in the Mamalona) and I'm thinking "What jack off has his off road lights on? Oh. Oh wait. I know that guy, he's alright."

Hahaha. Hey.. they're legal per Baja. Don't drive such a low car... :p

Same shit happens to me when I'm in the mini.. regular headlights look like HIDs. Lol

Were they bought before or after ole @crashnburn80 took them to task? 'cause apparently they weren't legal for awhile.

And I'm just saying, even my Diode Dynamics kit still recommends me to aim them properly, although the instructions amount to "Point them down"

Anyways, was glad to find out the truck was back on the road in a different kind of way since I haven't checked in on your thread in awhile.

They're the new style.. with the internal shrouds/shields.

And yeah.. at the end of the day.. I'm gonna take care of numero uno and aim my lights how I need them. Lol. But.. I do try and aim on the low side if I can.

Today was the first day out and about!! Got it back from Alignment yesterday and it's all gravy. Motor mounts are hardly noticeable in my truck. Notice I said MY truck.. just because it's loud and rattles and vibrates already. If it was on a more stock configured truck.. it would definitely be more noticeable. Vibes during idle mostly.

BUT.. Throttle response has increased. Shifts feel the same. But overall it's a much more solid and "lively" feel. Definitely have no regrets.

Oh.. and the upper pan and new starter are doing fine. Lol gonna leave the skids off for the rest of the week to keep an eye on everything though.

Well, still not technically legal just partially patched on the worst legal offenses per Baja. It is also worth noting their SAE lights are among the worst performing/lowest output intensity in the industry. But Baja has recognized how bad their product is an offered a free upgrade to their upcoming Gen2 SAE lights to anyone that unfortunately purchased the Gen1 edition. So stay tuned.

My fault for summoning him, but he does know more about lighting than just about anyone on this forum.

But snarky memes are cool too.

Frankly I like where AZ is at in regards to off road lighting. But if we all take a "casual" attitude towards properly using and aiming our lights then it's only a matter of time before legislators turn it into a political chip and implement some law in an attempt to stop morons.

I'd prefer it if we encouraged people to be responsible before it ever gets that far, but it might be too far along at this point.

I'm pretty sure I have astigmatism so any light that's beyond the definition of "legal" tends to bother me because it's actually bothering me. Anyways, shame on me for airing my grievances.

Just tail lights. I don't have any rear facing lights on any of my vehicles especially the wife's sequoia.

Yeah, fuck that guy. He's gonna ruin it for everybody with his Vatozone special light bar.

There's also a first gen Raptor that I see every morning on my way to work who's got some kind of Amber fogs that are constantly on. Like, we get it dude, you spent $300+ on fog lights. You're in Arizona, you don't need those on. Not even sure they're SAE rated, either. Stands out like a sore thumb for miles.
