How much did those guys run you with the rings if I may ask?

 

They were about 900-950 i think.

Total was 1065 mounted and balanced.

Then all the paint, the center cap material, lug nuts, material,etc added up quick. :/ lol

 

Yeah, so Ill have to come up with something different in the meantime. Lockers, OBA, REgear and RTT here in the next few months, not to mention new rubber. No monies for wheels haha

 

Wheels can easily be put aside for all that awesomeness.

Need to write out my plan for the next week and get it all out.. so bear with me.

Big thanks to Sebastian (Cbass) for all the help and work over the past few days. got a new blower motor, power steering pump, intermediate shaft, basic service with a larger oil filter, engine bay detailed, ac vents cleaned and deodorized, suspension all checked and torqued while it was up in the air, and a couple other little misc things.

Ordered my Hub Centric Rings to center the wheels on the hub. Have had some serious vibrations. After some research, found out the wheels have a 108mm hub bore and the tacoma has a 106mm. Some simple 108mm to 106mm will do the trick and take the load off the studs making them hub centric instead of lug centric.

Going to install the rings and my new black lug nuts at the same time when they come in next week. Throw in a new cabin filter. Will add my top plate spacer, and fix my front bumper as its loose and rattles/fogs shake. Gonna dump in some Techron fuel system cleaner on my next fill up as well. Then back to Sebastian for a new belt and a final alignment to fix my clearance issues at the back of the fender.

Lots of much needed TLC for the Taco. Feels good.

 

well.. thanks to Patrick and the usual "help" from Connor today.. my other top plate is in.. along with my hub centric rings and black lug nuts were installed.

the truck sits level finally.. no more taco lean.. and the hub rings 100% solved my vibration issues. the truck drives like a dream now between the work Sebastian did and my new parts.. and the rings. freakin lovin my truck right now!!

I had an 01 TJ and the only two things that didn't leak on it were the gas tank and brake system.

You could easily find out what your wheels hub bore is compared to your jeeps... and that should give you your answer. For under 25 bucks to your door.. its worth a shot.
