Seeing it now with all the junk in the trunk... now I REALLY want my full hoops on the front bumper.

 

Time to get bending and notching! Might as well do side hoops on your rear too!

 

Looking good! I keep wondering if I’ll miss the full hoops when I change bumpers

 

Need to find someone who can do aluminum and Tig it all. Plus I want to but some openings in the front wings for flush mounted ditch lights. Then have it Powdercoated as it's painted right now.

Thanks! I love the look and functionality of them. I've destroyed multiple headlights due to branches and the like.

 

I hear you there. I’m switching to a hybrid but always wondered about adding full hoops to one

 

Switch for weight savings? I'm personally not a fan aesthetically of Hybrids.. but I get it. And what couldn't you add them?

 

So are you planning to run KoH or just going to spectate?

 

A little bit of a few things. Weight savings is one. Also gel gets some better airflow for the S/C may not matter but I’ll take whatever so can get. Last I’ll be putting on some LT soon. I prob wouldn’t if I wasn’t doing that. I wasn’t a fan but it’s grown on me. Depending how things go I may add some hoops later on. Change it up for a bit. The Pelfrey has treated me well but time for a change.

 

Im having a hell of a time finding someone to TIG aluminum. My buddy from high school vanished. He was my go-to for fabricating.

 

Lol. Just spectating. Last year was a blast and we didn't get to see enough. Lost half a day when I blew the CV and had to replace it out there too.

Bummer. I found one guy but he's out in Peoria.. otherwise I may try and ask our guy we use for welding our projects at work. Different world though so not sure if he'd be interested.

 

Sounds like fun, I'd like to go sometime, are you able to chase on the track or off the sides?

 

Not really. Just pick a section of track and setup and watch. Mix of high speed desert racing sections to watch and the rock crawling sections. Night time turns into free for all's for those who want to try. Definitely a good time.

Finished up the rear flares finally. Really l liking how the truck came out after everything. Sitting pretty good and should settle a bit more. Need to finish up a couple more little things and it's good to go.

We got in on the 9600 price point and cut in line substantially. They're right under 12k now I believe and they initially released at 7600.

took us years to finally decide on one. After the RTT for a good 6 years or so.. we knew what we wanted in a setup.
