My tool roll and recovery bag are the waxed canvas. Other stuff is the tan cordura.

Finished up these little guys Friday and tested them out yesterday for the day with Lyd out by the lake. Need to make a couple changes but they are very close and work pretty well.. even with some wind gusts.

and we were surrounded by a group of Cardinals all day.. They got within about 6 feet of us in one of the trees at one point. close enough to see all the colors and details in their faces. They were so bright!

Exactly. We havent gone out to the Butcher area in a long time because of the amount of people and trash. It was a pleasant surprise to find that it was actually really clean out at Bartlett considering the holiday weekend. The Trash bins were full and people were packing out bags strapped to roofs and hanging out windows to pack it out and not leave anything. Was nice seeing that.

 

That's living right there.

Got some much needed little things done on the Taco the last week or so.

After years of dealing with a finicky and very noisy blower motor, as well as replacing constantly dying resistors, I found out there was a TSB for the entire system. It includes a new harness pigtail with new style plug that requires to be cut and spliced into the factory harness plus a new style resistor with mating plug. I also picked up a new blower motor that is a new version as well, and got a K&N washable cabin filter. Swapped in everything quick and easy since it's all under the dash, behind the glovebox. Wow is it nice to have a fully functioning climate control system and nice, quiet blower motor again. I have AC on every fan setting now and it blows hard and cold. I actually thought my AC was going out after all these years, but it was just a mix of a clogged cabin filter and a worn out, old, inefficient blower motor.






Also found my Airflow snorkel tubing was toast. Crumbled in my hands during inspection. Replaced it with a 4"ID silicone coupler.




Did some other little things here and there. Finally added the table latches to the BAMF bumper, adjusted the rear bedside supports to stop the flapping during higher speeds finally, other little tlc things.

Just means your nose filter was working harder.

Good thing you found that degraded "coupling". Doesn't really deserve that name anymore. That would have been bad to have trust in it, then find out after the fact. The silicone will hold up much better.

and for real.. Glad we didnt commit to that water crossing a little while back. lol I think so too.. plus create a better seal I imagine.

 

@AZOverland you barely missed @prise stopping by today too.. he came through a little prior for some modifications for his machines at his work. Got them finished up for him a bit ago..
