Once you have the house it be ones easier to store the cars, especially if you buy property :D

I like rural, so I'm sure when I buy a house I'll have those HF canvas car tents all over.

Dude, that looks exceptional! Makes it seem so comfy and luxurious, that carpet really looks good and so do those seats.

@Man of Steel TRD I got my beater running on all 6 the other day. Got a coolant hose to repair and a shock to replace and I'll be driving her.

Hey thanks man! Couple spots I could of done better on, but overall... I'm happy with how it came out. The carpet is definitely a big improvement. cab noise has been reduced a noticeable amount. I ordered floor mats for it today actually.. Ebay rubber. should work pretty good. They say they are custom fit per vehicle.. we'll see.

The coverlay should be here today sometime.. :goingcrazy:

Go Getta Grip Vans shifter is ordered as well. Just need to install it, take measurements, then I can get a custom boot ordered. no idea on pattern/color yet. There are so many I like from places like Stitchboots, In.Focus, etc. maybe a new steering wheel and hub too.. idk... :anonymous:

Then it'll be onto getting the back wall and rear pillars carpeted. So if anyone knows any interior shops.. let me know. I'll have them re-do the sunvisors too. otherwise I was thinking of just making my own from a piece or two of ABS and riveting them together. race car ya know. lol

Got the stereo tuned a bit more as well. Sounding decent... decent enough to commute, but its not like the stereo in the Taco. lol I do have 2 very loud and annoying rattles in both top rear corners of the cab. Behind/under the headliner and between sheet metal. You can hear it clear as day outside and inside. I will be fixing those, but requires pulling the headliner.. (atleast in those corners) and I havent got that far yet.

damn that thing is clean man! Beautiful color too.

I have to send it in. $75 fee for them to accept and inspect it, and it covers return shipping. If they do find anything, its $100, and that $75 goes towards the repair. I havent sent it in yet, because I really dont want to after just installing it all.. I have an aux connected and a nice little setup to hold the phone even (I'll see if I can get a pic..) for now.. so I may hold off a bit. Otherwise, once they get it, it should just be a firmware update or two, and fixed, WITH Bluetooth info displayed again finally.

Although the suspension and engine are some of the best I've ever had the joy of using. The truck body is often inconvenient and the cab is not very comfortable for long trips for me. I'm too tall for the damn thing in short. Whole reason I put the smaller Lexus steering wheel on was for legroom and even that isn't enough anymore. I end up with hip and leg pain after long days driving to wheel or wheeling. The cruiser I can sit in for days, so I figure I'd build it up and it being enclosed in the rear and still having a foldout tailgate is just another plus.

Soooo the Coverlay kinda fits like shit. I know its partially due to the dash itself being so old, cracked, and expanding over time. But, even with the instructions saying trimming may be necessary, I dont see how it will fit at all. The AC vent cutouts dont line up, They are shifted a good 1/8 of an inch to the side.. I'd have to trim a lot to get it to fit, and even then, its held in place with adhesive which i see being a problem with the heat here and the memory I would have to fight to get it to fit into place. It seems to be wider than the dash, so it wants to bow in the middle. I see it popping back up in the future.

Im thinking I'm going to return it, and either 1) get a custom made carpet dashcover made to fit the contours like the old tan one or 2) covering it the best way I can... either with more sticker bombing action.. or.. a flag or something. (unless that would be frowned upon) I thought an Az flag folded up on the dash might be cool.. I was wanting to put a flag somewhere to represent. I even thought about pinning one to the top of the headliner.. which is a whole other dilemma. I started pulling the rear corners to find those damn rattles and realized it hasnt been pulled probably ever. It was sealed pretty damn well, and even tore in a couple spots. I got enough pulled down to find the rattles and try to test a fix.. and found out its a support brace thats making contact with the outside skin.. and it runs across the entire roof. So, I'd have to pull the entire headliner and sound deaden and or spray some expanding foam in the channels. I stuffed it all back together the best I could, resulting in it looking like crap now. Thinking of getting a custom headliner done now too at the same time as the back wall and pillars being carpeted. Maybe a flag headliner.. or galaxy print.. idk.

I'm just going to leave it all as is for now until I figure out a game plan for the dash, headliner, and back wall. :pout:

Could buy a dash from a Northern truck, 90% of the ones I've seen are uncracked. But usually with the coverlay things you have to shave your stock dash and really bodywork the new piece too

I think I'm going to just work with the existing one. There's sun rot in multiple areas (dash, A pillars, etc) that have already claimed some plastic and caused cracks and broken pieces. I want to avoid making it any worse, so I'll just sticker it up or most likely do a carpet dash cover.

I guess I didnt realize how much trimming and making it fit there would be with the Coverlay. I mean.. I knew some trimming would be needed, like around edges and getting rid of extra material from the mold, but it was quite a bit off..

Could always strip the rotten cracked stuff off, give it a skim coat of bondo to make it nice and flat and then flock it. That always comes out really nice

I'm trying not to put THAT much work into it.. hahaha.. like I said, it has some really bad areas (thats why I covered the A pillars with stickers).. it literally falls apart if you try to take panels off. some of it is permanent now. lol
