since the v6 is shared in all the tacoma platforms, i was curious if the ecu in the xrunner is programmed more aggressive compared to the preunner and standard models, reason i ask is a friend of mine is parting out a 07, and just want to know if the ecu are interchangable, and if it would help me gain a few hp. i know the xrunners are manual 6 speeds, does the ecu in autos control the tranny as well?
