Do not buy the wire harness conversion for the full 2020 LED headlights from Mike (xrunnerdude67) He’s not a good guy, he will scam you and keep your hard earned money. If you email him he will be extremely quick to reply back to you to ask you to PayPal him $85 and he makes sure to tell you to send it through friends and family option so he doesn’t have to deal with you anymore. Did that mistake and he made it seem he would take care of me. Once he got my money, I never heard back from him again. Not an update no replies to any follow up emails. Nothing at all.

    Maybe he’s busy?
If he were busy he wouldn’t had replied right away to an inquiry for the harness with the details on how to pay him.

Maybe he should do honest business and and follow up, provide an update. Specially when he says he’ll have it in 3-4 days and it’s going to two weeks now. Mind you that the only communication has been from the first day, same day payment was sent to him.

Maybe he should be clear and upfront. It’s obvious that he tells you what you want to hear at first so he can secure the money and from there in he doesn’t give a damn.

When you really think about it, why do businesses through PayPal and friends and family option ? Why not eBay? Obviously because he’s just looking for easy money.

My only intent is to warn others that’ll not to make the same mistake I did.

if you want to still do business with this guys, that’s your choice. Also, if you want to defend him by posting other older threads and saying maybe he’s busy and stuff like that. I don’t care either. I’m just trying to help other fellow Tacoma owners like myself so that this guy does not waste their time and money.

If you want to help, it would help if you either used your actual username rather than one that was made for this thread. That would at least let people know you're a real member here. I have no dogs in this fight, just an unbiased opinion here.

First off, using F&F has its faults as you presume now, but if you were selling items repeatedly you would not enjoy losing 4% off each one you sold. I've probably sold a good $10k plus in parts via Paypal over the years, I would hate to have lost 4% of that. Almost all of those sales were via F&F.

Cant speak for their timeliness of responses, but can agree with you that some word would give piece of mind and should be a required at this point.

People mentioning old posts is simply trying to lend so context to the situation, to help you have some piece of mind. No one seems to be defending anyone running away with someones money here. I read through the current thread and there are some notes of delay but nothing considerable in any terms that would suggest a scam.

Also, be considerate to the fact that anything written and documented that can be traced to a loss of income or business can reflect poorly on you. Just be careful with that, take it up with the mods, privately. Hope you receive this neutrally, just trying to help.

@elduder I agree to some of your points. I’m new here and I only created an account to post this.

About selling through PayPal F&F. Imo, mark up the 4% to the selling item, the buyer will rather pay 4%, and not risk all the money that is paying for the item.

I’m a little heated rn haha so, yeah I didn’t take it well seeing someone adding older threads and saying that he’s busy. But, I do recognize that others are probably just trying to help.

Bottom line, even if would get the harness a few weeks later, is as bad as not getting it at all. Simply because I was lied to on the timeframe, not receiving any updates for peace of mind and I wouldn’t be getting what I paid for (time wise). That’s still a scam in my book. If I receive it when I no longer need it because it took so long. It doesn’t change the fact that my time and money was wasted.

FWIW I ordered one on 11/9 and he shipped it on 11/16. Haven't received it yet but he sent me a photo of the shipping label with tracking number. It is en route.
