Can you mount a mountain bike on a short bed without taking off wheels. I've got a large thru axle.

Height is 1.25 inches, width is 6.125 inches.

I've never even come close to making them flex, even when I would stand on them. I weight about 215.

I would order a pair right away but 50 shipping is almost a 1/3 of the price of just the bars. Anyway to cut that down. Shipping to 98682

24 pounds of steel in a 5 foot long box from NY to Washington state......

I wish there was a way to cut that down, but it is what it is.

I'm looking to do the same thing with my spare. I'm curious if you came up with a way to secure it to the cross bar?

Thanks. I'm hoping to eventually find a bolt on adapter or something that would lock it down to prevent theft.

Any insight to whether these will work with roll up tonneaus? I have a little gap between my cleats and tonneau rails. But the rails do come inside the bed about an inch. Obviously a picture would help if I had one.

As long as nothing from the cover protrudes below the level of the top of the cleat, you're good to go.

hmm. ill have to get a better look and asses the situation. Im thinking one of these in use with the top of my tailgate should be adequate for 2 10' kayaks.
