I'm not an expert but this is such a simple mod there isn't any negatives I can see besides losing a tad bit of pull at 5k rpm but how often are you running your engine at 5k?
All you're doing is increasing the air volume in the plenum/manifold and changing the time at which the positive air pressure comes back into the open intake valve, leading to higher air flow and in exchange giving you more ponies and torque lower in your curve which makes far more sense for our applications.

I think it's also stated that the spacer isn't necessarily beneficial for all vehicles, and if it is the thickness will differ per application to achieve that result. It just depends on the engine.

I don't see any way this could hurt the reliability of the engine, so I wouldn't worry about that or believe me I wouldn't be doing it. You would however wear your engine by putting certain high flow filters on that don't have very good filtration.

OP has a good write up explaining what is going on in the manifold if you haven't read it.

I plan on shorty headers at the same time, to kinda offset the low range losses from the header. Saw you run JBA shorty’s and your IMS I assume.
Have you dyno’d your truck with both?

How’s the overall effect of this IMS/shorty header combo compared to stock?

I definitely noticed losses down lower with the headers, but they were one of my last mods. Ran awesome at 80+ on the highway though. I kind of wish'd I had done them first before my spacer because the gains the spacer brings it back. Whereas having a spacer on first it felt like a lost in the lower end when I put on the headers. Now if you did them both at the exact same time they would somewhat offset and you would just feel gains.

    Both trucks have lots
I would like to order one of these, and have no problem paying standard price. What is the current inventory/or lead time?

I’m interested in one to go with my new headers. What’s the lead time or next group buy?

The newer group buy is closed at the $195 price but his regular pricing is $215 for TW members.
He may have a unit or two but his last update has him waiting on the shop he uses to supply having him in the que with a little wait time. I've been more than happy to wait.
My impression from my experience communicating with OP to get that $195 one set up is he's a genuinely good guy trying to get these out as quickly as possible but he couldn't cut to the front of the que with the shop he trusts and has dealt with for these for years.
He was gauging interest and several of us got real excited, me especially and slapped it together before he had time to get with the shop on production time.
