Why are we comparing this spacer to CAIs? each are designed to improve different areas in the RPM range, and CAI do not improve anything unless a retune happens... they can't be catagorized together. In fact the spacer (in theory) will drop the high RPM HP but seems like the ECM is quick to adjust fuel mixture and maintain the same or slightly higher HP above 4500RPM.. With all that, it is a welcome to gain torque, which greatly helps acceleration without growls that gets old on a daily D...

Im just explaining how I dont think the power gain is worth the money spent. Im somebody who waits for deals on everything. Im not the dude that goes out and pays 30k+ for a tacoma and then dumps another 5k+ on a bro lift, rock star rims and a magnaflow dual exhuast.

Dont waste your time arguing against this, I wont be checking for your replies. I get that you guys are super amped about the spacer and will only see it your way. I hope you guys enjoy it and that it gives you your moneys worth :)

I bet you spent more money and got even less gains than this spacer would give you.

How hard would you say these are to install on a rating from 1-10? Ive pulled everything apart all the way to my throttle body as far as experience wise and spark plugs if that helps a little more.

rating 1 being easiest and 10 being hardest? about a 3? removing your throttle body you're half way there, the hardest part is taking off the top plenum part which is attached by a thick ass wire harness that you have to unclip and hope not break.

Are there more gains to be had with a thicker spacer?

Installed mine over the weekend. fairly easy for me. The toughest part is having a lifted truck with a light hoop. Too awkward to work on but was too lazy to remove the wheels to lower it. Took me an hour at most.

Some advice, if you offroad, wash the manifold area to get rid of the dust & mud off. Soak the ports with carb cleaner with you have it off as well, and make sure not to drop anything in there!!

As far as gains, there's something there. not much but something. A thicker spacer would probably be more beneficial. This felt like it had more gains than my trd intake (power loss) lol.

I see where you're coming from. This coupled with a CAI though could possibly net good N/A power. Getting near 30whp/tq to the ground for under $500 isn't easy. I just would like to see some dyno charts of this product and not of the same truck. I know it's new and not many people would be willing or able to go get a dyno done witch sucks because this looks of high quality. Props on the work and effort into this!

Also, you can't bring cam's and small block V8's into this. Thats like apples to oranges to elephant.

I can come down there next month the week before Christmas on Monday if you like. I live about a hour away. My truck is stock with a small billies lift on the coils but that should not affect a dyno.
