Looks great to me. Even though I did not need to replace mine I figured I would anyways. I just placed my order for one. Thanks

Just ordered a set. Question though, are you a mechanical engineer or graphics engineer? I am also great with CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, Inventor & Solid Works and have a few great ideas to implement and sell my self. Any advice on getting started? I know a few companies in SC with laser cutter and all.

Im curious about patented ideas and such. I would love to concept and make some designs and build some prototypes but just worried about copyright issues. I dont want to make a product and sell it if some one else has it patented!

I'm not an professional engineer. I just came up with the idea a few days after I bought my 04 Taco.
TBH I'm not 100% sure about the legality of it. I didn't pursue a patent, as this is just a small thing I do on the side. I dont expect it to grow much from the volume I'm steadily selling. In fact there is already a pair of people that have started making them a few months after I started. So, we have a little competition now. :D

As for copyright, my pivots are a different shape than Toyota's, so there's that. I would assume the worst that could happen is a cease and desist from Toyota, but I doubt it. There are lots of people making little aftermarket gadgets for vehicles without any kind of permission.

Not sure what you're planning on making. If its a flat piece of aluminum, and the edge tolerances aren't a huge concern, find someone with a water jet machine, not just laser. That's the cheapest way to cut parts out of plate aluminum BY FAR. Its the only way I've been able to offer these at the price I do.

Ordered these from ebay, replaced both latches in about 5 minutes. The broken rear window latch has driven me nuts for the entire time I owned the truck, now it is fixed.

    Couldn't be happier.

I bought a pair even though only one of my windows was broken - wouldn't you know the other one broke when I opened it today. Glad I bought two.

Just replaced mine. Passenger side was easy, but the drivers side was giving me problems. The quater glass did not open for room to punch out the pin out with a hammer and punch like in the youtube video. I did not want to force it and wined up breaking the glass or hinges it was attached to. Due to the lack of room I had to punch the pin out from hinge arm from the top instead of the bottom. Finally after getting the pins out and reassembly, I noticed the latch does not lock in place. I'm still able to push it open with my hand.
