    The OPs set up sold. I shamelessly thread jacked. :/

    I haven't sold mine yet. If you are still interested. Yes, it its sturdy, even on a shell. I have had 300 lbs on it and have even on occasion used the crossbars as a means to pull myself up to check out the roof. It hasn't budged.

    sweet! If you'll sell it I might be interested, what state are you in?
    I plan on putting close to 500lbs when camping cus of a rtt and all.
    Maybe we should pm instead of thread jack lol

    500 pounds including the weight of the people in the tent right? Can only have 165lbs up there while moving.
