    Anyone familiar with this thing? Looks interesting. Thinking about it more for the wife's SUV, though should work on the Taco in a pinch.

    If it actually swings out of the way of the liftgate (not sure it does, but not sure what the point would be if it doesn't), that would be a big deal as we travel with a dog and it would be much easier to let him out the back than the side doors.

    I like Yakima stuff and use several of their products but yeah, kinda pricey for a hitch receiver with a swing away but it does have a lot of modularity. I've seen people on various forums make similar things to carry their spare tire or cargo and I know there's at least one commercial version that I can't recall the name of at the moment. If you have the ability to weld it'd be easy to make something.


    Side note, this was on the same Amazon page as the Exo when I was looking for the price on it. I know absolutely nothing about this product but it does make me wonder if you could check your local listings for a second hand whopper chopper carrier to modify.
