Recently bought a second Tacoma and it came with some Yakima rack parts. I am not sure what I have. Does anyone recognize these parts and if so, can I get new keys/ cylinders and can I buy a new bar and bar attachments individually?

    See Pictures below.

Rail attachments on truck door and a bracket for mounting a rail attachment on the camper shell.

I have reached out to Yakima and hope they can help as well.

You can buy lock cores (sold in packs of 4,6, etc. buy the next amount up from what you need for future accessories. And you can buy new bars and the attachment towers for the brackets as well. If you live by an REI they are a good resource

Those look like the style that use a metal clip to attach to the door frames. Yakima customer service is great, send them the same pictures. As mentioned above you can buy all the parts you're looking for.

As a matter of fact, I do live near an REI.

Are the lock cores difficult to change out?

Do you think these are too old? or does this still look like a common product they still carry?

The bottom photo is a raingutter attachment. It is used to attach Yakima towers that are meant for raingutters. @Toynado is correct you can easily pick up lock cores for those towers from any outdoor shop in your area that is a Yakima dealer. They have a dealer locator on their website. The top items are actually know as Q towers and they use Q clips that are vehicle specific. I worked at a bike shop for a decade and installed dozens of those on many cars.

I only did a quick search for examples. You may find better prices if you hunt a little.

Here are the towers that attach to the bracket on your topper.
here are the bars. They come in many lengths. These ones happen to be 58 inches. your topper probably would work best with 48" Here are the lock cores

The lock cores take a couple minutes to change out, very easy. Check the Yakima Fit Guide. Those look like Q-Towers, which they still make.

A rack system like pictured has a
    1. Fit kit - custom base for whatever vehicle you are mounting it on.
    2. Towers - they snap into the fit kit
    3. Load Bars
the key cylinder usually have a blank that you can use to take out old core. You may have to use breakfree or WD40.
It looks like one side fit kit is bent, you are missing some plastic.
The mount off the shell provides a lip for another type of tower that has a screw that tightens the tower to the plate mount.
You will need a load bar and a set of towers that attach to that plate, one tower on each side.
If you look around any restore or ebay you may get out inexpensive as opposed to going to a store and paying retail.
I find parts all the type at our local dump. Good luck

Thank you all for the responses...

These all look to match just right.

I see the tower that attaches to the rain gutter in the link is narrow. I guess it will be easy enough to try to find a tower made for the wide one I have.

Do they have replacement rubber for where it sits on the roof of the truck?

Those are the only towers that will work from Yakima.

    Well Dang folks... Much appreciated.

By time I buy all the misc. parts, would it have been cheaper just to buy all new? Or am I still saving a good bit by using what I have?

You are probably saving quite a bit. I just put a Thule system on my topper and even at cost + 10% family deal I spent $400. Granted I went with tracks and low profile aero bars, but in my outdoor retail experince, any rack system from scratch adds up fast. Those Raingutter towers have been around for 20+ years so you might even be able to get them used off ebay or craiglist/garage sales.

Oh and I am not if you where asking about bike racks, boat racks and the tons of other things that you can attach to the bars.

    The answer:
Once you have the bars the limits are endless. You can actually attach Thule stuff or Rocky Mounts stuff (their stuff comes in fun colors) and Yakima has lots and lots to choose from too.

I will get pictures up soon.

Not sure if there are knock offs. If you want to make sure you are getting something quality shop local. You end up paying a little more sometimes but you are paying for knowledge of a salesperson and helping out your local economy (besides just the UPS guy)

    Truth...

I like the sliding rails. You going to mount anything to the cab?
