    Hello,

I bought a used cap and it has rain gutter strips installed to accommodate roof racks.

I just bought Yakima A1 towers, but not sure what size bars to get. Yes, I know I could just measure, but I’m in my office and don’t have a tape handy. What size are you all using?

I’ll put two kayaks up there.

    I’d at least get 58’s.

I have 48"s but that's because they came of my previous vehicle and I didn't want to but new. I typically have a basket on them and it works fine but a pair of kayaks would be tight..... 58's are probably your best bet.

Do those A1s have the spacer in them? They look really tall.

I've got the 66" bars on mine; they overhang the sloping sides of my shell by maybe 6" on each side. I like the extra real estate since I sometimes carry multiple boats or a cargo box and boats, etc. I also like being able to hang stuff like a solar shower off the ends. The longer bars aren't much more money and it's easy to cut them down if you decide you don't like them.

ETA- Just checked, the 66" bars are $3 cheaper than the 58" bars on Amazon.

Those 1As are regular height, but you can add spacers to those (another ~1.5")

Just surprised at how tall they look. I've got the tracks with control towers on mine.

I've got an extra set of Yakima artificial rain gutters I bought for one of my VWs that never got mounted but wanted the adjustability of the tracks for the truck.
