Ya I could see getting a commuter car if you have no choice, I hope to always have a choice......

 

I didn't even know they made roof baskets that big. It looks good though.

 

It does have the extension in the middle, that adds another 22 inches. I set it up with out the extension and it looked to short. A 12 inch extension would be perfect.

 

99.9% of the roof baskets I see never have anything in them. The ones that do have 1 gas can in it. I don't understand the fascination with these things. Yours looks good especially on a campershell and I'm not knocking it, I just never see these things being used.

Yeah that's what I have seen, truthfully my truck sits more often than not. But the extra room will be great for all our camping gear and the extras required for a long offroad excursion. The rack is rated for over 200lbs but I'll admit I'm a little scared to throw a full sized spare up there while off roading. Either way I'll probably be one of those guys with the giant basket with pretty much nothing in it most of the time.

do you think the megawarrior is too wide for the 1st gen camper top?

 

Don't think it would be to wide, I decided to switch to a baja rack because the Yakima sat a little high if anything.
