Just put on my Yakima rack today and i am happy with the way it turned out. I drove on the freeway with it and it is kind of loud. Does anybody know if the wind guard thing reduces the noise?

Yes the wind fairing will reduce the noise a little bit

It took the noise down on my wifes Subaru.. However, it is still pretty loud. I don't think there is any way to avoid that.
