What kind of rack is the Skyrise tent mounted on?

Very cool. I'm considering a Skyrise tent because I work at a Yakima dealer but am curious on the best rack to get that the tent will securely mount to. Thanks.

 

You work at a Yakima dealer, but you’re unsure as to what rack will securely mount a Yakima product?

Wouldn’t Yakima racks work seamlessly (that’s a rhetorical question)?

 

Yes I do.
And not really.
They don’t suggest putting them on their roof rack system for the Tacoma.
The bed mounted system that they make sits flush with the top of the bed. Not what I’m looking for.
So I’m looking for third party rack manufactures that the tent will work with.

 

That would be my fault for assuming a Yakima accessory would integrate with a Yakima rack. An assumption on my part, and that I’ve seen numerous Yakima publication depicting that RTT on Tacomas utilizing Yakima racking systems. Most being on a topper though.

But I get what you’re saying that your intended usage may not meet up with what Yakima has on the market currently.

 

Yakima has launched some new pickup racks in various heights, also adjustable height. Everybody is going expo.
