So, bought the wife a little putt-putt bike to learn on. She's well deserving.
This is her pulling an intentional wheelie her very first time riding a quad. She's a bit of a bad-ass.

My intentions with it is to give it to her, but I've been riding it occasionally. It's such a fun little bike to ride around on. I'm a bit too big for it though, so I'm searching for a YZ250F.

Since I can't leave shit alone though, I've already got a few items on order for the TTR, and they're arriving at the house every day now.

As bought, the bike has a few nice reliability and safety mods:
    • BBR frame cradle. (a must for these bikes since the frame does not completely circle the engine but bolts to the engine on the underside. The frames have a tendency to crack with out a cradle)
    • Chain Guide
    • BBR "adult" spring and upgraded fork springs
    • Engine hour counter to help with keeping track of maintenance intervals.
    • uni filter
    • IMS shifter

These bikes are known for a few things. One is the frame cracking (that's solved already with the cradle). Next is cold start and fuel delivery. A bulletproof engine. They can run a bit lean by default. To fix just jet it with 17.5 and 110. The kit runs about 20 bucks, and not only cures the cold start stuff, but really improves performance from what I've been reading. Another common mod is to upgrade the front forks to inverted forks from a YZ85. I'm not sure when or if I'll do that, since the entire tree used runs about $500
The airbox is also very restrictive and a common mod is to either remove the cover, or drill some big holes into it.

    This is what I've added:
    • jet kit 17.5/110
    • Pro Circuit T-4 exhaust (chose this because it's tunable)
    • some new plastics from Acerbis (stock colors)
    • updated front number plate
    • Rockstar graphics and numbers
    • new front tire
    • gripper seat cover
    • pro taper SE honda mini bars
    • IMS pro series 4 foot pegs

    The perhaps list is:
    • YZ85 forks
    • 150cc topend
We'll see. I may lose interest in this thing once I pick up a 250

The end result should be a TTR-125 that looks like a YZ85 big wheel, and has decent reliable performance.

First thing I did while waiting for parts was paint the wheels to give it an updated look:

And while I was doing that, a few graphics arrived:

Some more stuffs should arrive today, and hoping to get some work on it done this weekend.

It's been awhile. Figured I'd finally update this thread. The TTR-125 makeover is complete.
I ended up shaving down the seat to lower the overall seat height so my wife could be more comfortable on it. I also changed back to the stock springs front and rear, then lowered it as much as I could front and back without compromising the suspension setup.

She's happy with it. Although she wants purple plastics. go figure. :/
