    im sure its removable other ways, but I simply cut mine off.

    IIRC the strap can be undone but I think 1 end of the buckle is sewn on....Ive NEVER needed the strap and it woulda just got in the way.

    The fact that u can buy molle gear for it makes it so versatile.
