    Why the edit?

Pointing out more misinformation by the OP is good to go in my book.

I'm pretty sure that they do, but oddly enough the eibach website has no tacoma coils listed.

Hey DickTroll have you ever installed any of the items and test drove the vehicle after to get an honest opinion or are you just spouting off shit you took off a webpage? Do you even own a 3rd gen?

James is good dude, but a key board warrior. It's best not to engage him in an arguement.

    Yes.

    No.

Regardless of "butt feel," numbers are what they are, OP doesn't know what he's talking about - but I'm glad he knows how to turn a wrench.

Saying "I don't care what this means and I don't care what that means" when it comes to manufacturer data and specs because my ass is a better judge than research and development is what it is, but you can't substitute opinion for fact when you're trying to teach someone.

We're all here to learn, and those who want to teach in addition to that need to have something more than opinion when it comes to tossing hard facts to the side as incorrect.

Also, I wouldn't call me a DickTroll, whatever that means. Nobody is in here throwing insults around but you and the OP - funny.

Im not really the kinda guy who insults people but in this thread you totally come across as a dick and a troll to me. Just sayin. His opinions are stated as opinions on his experience doing the work and driving the vehicles. You just spouted off without stating your experience with the products mentioned. Im sorry as I was being a dick myself and would edit my post but rather admit my mistake and appoligize. I agree this forum is a great place to help each other out and less bickering would be a good thing. I think Jerry Taco is a pretty smart cookie when it comes to 3rd gens and his posts have helped me out alot.

I'm not saying he isn't helpful, I'm just saying he can't make claims based on ass feel when there are hundreds of truck owners who would disagree with his saying Eibach's are softer coils, when they're not in any way, shape, or form.

Particularly when he doesn't have the numbers to compare. Stronger coil rate = stiffer. Nothing changes that.

My posts and replies with accurate info are just that - accurate. People can make their own decision, I don't care if I look like a dick - I'll take that hat and wear it when it prevents others from being told something wrong.

Yes but he stated this was how he felt from his experience. Maybe his ass is numb and his ass feel is off but a guy asked his opinion and he gave it. You were a bit hard on him. Maybe a rebut saying in my experience i felt the oposite or something along that line. Once again im sorry for my comment and hope no hard feelings.

Thanks Jerry taco. I asked you the question because it seems you have installed more of this type lift on the 16s than anyone else. I value your opinion because of this. Thank You. I think it is possible that the toytec coils may ride better on the 16s because the spring rate is closer to the spring rate of the factory coils? Anyway Thanks for your opinion, you answered my question perfectly with your opinion.

On the toytech thread they said the spring rate of the 16 coils is close to 720. Which means the toytech coils are closer to the stock coil spring rate than the OME's. This is the main reason I asked the question about them.

That's nearly 200 lbs stiffer than the 2015 coils and heavier than the heavy 700 lb coils King and other companies offer for trucks that have several hundred pounds of extra weight on the front end - so that seems a little questionable for a stock coil spring rate.

Either way, a softer coil rate makes a softer ride. There is no disproving that.

OME will always be softer than Eibach, except the 886 coils.

Because if he was talking about taking off the UCAs bolt on a 3rd gen could be different because of the body and since I have no experience on a 3rd gen I took back what I said but on a 2nd gen you can take out the bolts without cutting the head because I've done it few times when I installed new UCAs on my 2nd gen when I put on my OME lift.

Yeah, little different on the third gen unfortunately. The driver side can be removed the same way as a 2nd gen, by simply bending the inner fender out of the way, however on the passenger side, the inner fender just covers way too much of the bolt, so you'd really have to mangle the inner fender to get the bolt out in one piece. Even then, I don't know that it'd be worth it to cause that much damage, so I opted to just cut the bolt head off..

Good to know they work. Im looking to buy a set of used 2016 trd sport front coil springs for my 2008 trd sport. Does anyone know if all the trd sport ones are the same regardless off motor or 4x4 vs 2x4?
