I just made the appointment for thursday and asked for Alfonso. Just from making the appointment, they already gave a good impression, hopefully all goes well after that.

My 2017 had this fixed today. The dealer caught it when I took it in for some other work before the warranty is up. I didn’t notice the leak.

Shout out to my dealer - Toyota of Newnan. Honestly they are really fair and easy to work with. No drama - I really appreciate that.

I've just taken my 2017 in today for this same issue. I was told it was not covered under warranty nor would it be covered under my extended warranty. They want $475 to replace it. I sent them the SB and asked why they weren't going to cover this and we'll see what they say.

It’s not a safety issue so they aren’t required to cover it despite the tech bulletin. They also lost my business because they decided to have a very “professional” attitude when I told them I was gonna pass.

I bought the replacement for $100 and will put it in myself when I get back to town.

Used some wrap vinyl to create a “patch” around the housing temporarily. It’s been watertight so far!

i didnt notice it as we rarely have rain and my truck used to be on a carport or garage parking. i purposely sprayed water on the area and saw that it was leaking inside. they fixed it under warranty as it was a few days away from hitting 36 months mark.

Brought mine in for this and they automatically replaced my headliner and brake light assembly. Covered under warranty. Hasn't leaked since.

just dropped my 17' off at Toyota of Elizabeth City and was happy they didn't attempt to say they were going to caulk or not fix it all the way. have a loaner now and expect to have the truck back tomorrow afternoon or Friday. they will be removing the headliner, and apparently had to do the same thing to a Land Cruiser last week. I'll let you all know how it goes, fingers crossed. service manager seemed professional for what it's worth.

Mine has been leaking for who knows for how long, I got mold growing now, dealership said all soft material has to come out, said it would be a month or 2 before I get it back. I have had nothing but issues from this truck, calling Toyota tomorrow to see about a buy back.

Are 2019's involved in this fiasco?
