Yes yet again but help for christmas

Ok so im looking at getting a lift for my truck. Yes its a spacer lift.. yes i know a lot of people dont like them. I dont use my truck as an offroad truck because its a 1 wheel driver prerunner.


This is the kit im looking at.

Also looking at this from Toytec, Only thing is i dont have a spring compressor to do this on the front.

So my questions are:

1. Is daystar a good kit, havent seen any bad reviews on them.
2. Do i need the Scorpion shocks or can i go with something else.
3. If i do go with something else what would be good in around the same price range. Im trying to keep this all around $200.

 

I have a spacer lift on currently 2in up front 2in aal in the rear. I just bought 5100s and ome springs but haven't instaled them yet.

I would recommend getting a add a leaf for the rear and not blocks. It will ride alot better. You can do the suspension without a compresser it's easy a couple YouTube video on it. I don't see why you would.need new shocks just get a front spacer and a add a leaf in the rear and get it aligned.

 

And honestry for 300 bucks you Can have bilstien 5100 adjustable shocks front and rear. Probably one of the most popular options to lift for tacomas. But it's your truck do what you want my spacer lift rode great and looked good. I think its pretty hard to find a junky quality spacer lift since there isn't much to it. Let me know if you need anymore help

 

The toytec would be the best option out of the 2.

 

I know it's not what you asked, but...I would not lift your truck for "Around $200". Save some money and get a bit better lift.

So how about this without the top plates? its 250? says it can work with stock shocks

The Bilstien is a great option but i would be in for almost 400 at that point with good AAL and with a baby on the way and my bonus from work only being 200 im kinda doing all this on a budget.

 

Ya idk how well they are with stock shocks. How the ride or anything but seems to,be better than a spacer. Maybe some else can chime in with lift springs on stock shocks.

 

I can't remember if we talked about it or not, but what struts are/were you running with your 2" spacer lift. I believe you said the stock yellow Bilsteins.

 

.02, Save the money up and get something better. If you are set on it, I have the Rev Tech top spacers sitting in my shop. Pay the shipping and I'll give them to you. Then find someone on here selling an aal, and put that in the rear.

Actually if you are in Clayton Ga you could probably come get them from me, I live in Westminster SC, just over the line.

 

Yep stock off road shocks I'll sell the whole set up to front aND rear
