I've lusted after a first or second gen Tacoma for years, and just found a nice clean one with only 129,000 on it.

I am looking forward to getting to know how things work. Looks as if most of the truck is stock and seems to work fine. I'll just try to stay out of the way here until I know enough to make a useful contribution.

Thanks for providing a place to learn about a terrific little truck.

Just waxed the truck and realized that I never got the gas door key from dealer, so will need to bug them about that!

Other than basic interior detail and some mud mats (I didn't ask for much from the dealer, as I thought I got a reasonable price below $5K), I need to re-tension the seatbelts and adjust the emergency brake. Then it will be time to clean the engine room (I am not a neat freak, but like to see what's going on) and look for a driver's side armrest. It's due for seat covers, too.

Any recommendations on things to check, change or look for?

Thanks again for the collective wisdom.
