Has anyone had an issue like mine and figured out the problem?

My airbag light is lit up as OFF regardless if anyone is in the front passenger seat or not and even when I have a person riding in the front seat without their seatbelts done up, the seat belt light does not flash and no beeping.

I assume it is a common sensor but I want to get to the bottom of it.

    thanks,
    Andrew

Can i check my VIN to see if it applies to the recall?

Keep in mind that I only have issues with the airbag/seatbelt light that is under the radio.

Just had my clock spring done at the dealer, free of charge. They also did the politically correct gas pedal.

If I am correct in assuming that the SRS Alarm on the dash is not illuminated only that the passenger side never gets armed ( constant OFF Indication under the stereo).

There is a sensor in the seat itself that determines if the passenger is of adequate size to deploy the air bag in an accident. The sensor may need replacement or calibration by the dealer. I'll look and see if I have a procedure...

There is a procedure to initialize and set the zero point on the seat sensor, but the dealer has the special tools to do it.
