Did the full blown car wash about an hour ago with minimal water intrusion. When it warms-up the side seals will lay flatter and should take care of the little bit of water.
All my rail caps are on the same plane so I can't offer any advice there, but eccracer104 will have an answer for you. The exterior surfaces of the Flex are painted aluminum so I doubt they will deteriorate like a vinyl covered cover will.
The "cheap" one I had was not sealing at the side rail and bulkhead corners nor wherever it folded. So much in fact that as I drove down the road, the cover was "flapping" Sent photos to the manufacturer and they agreed that "maybe something is wrong". I don't have the answer for you, but I am certain eccracer104 will.
I'll post some photos. Good luck.

I had a Leer Trilogy X2T trifold installed last week. Went to car wash this morning & 0 leaks anywhere! Love the cover & comes off with no tools in seconds. Goes back on the same & no adjusting like other covers. About same price as Undercover or Bakflip.
    Buy once, cry once. :)

Thanks! Been outta town for a few days so just now catching up. Sliders in the utility rails and that's it? Must be if it's such a fast install/uninstall. Is there room in between for the factory attachment brackets on the rails?

We don't sell any tonneau covers. Is that what you're looking for?

Agreed. But then again it's REALLY nice. I'm still on the fence personally but I started looking at the one-piece Undercovers as well. The SE is nice and not very heavy, but my favorite is the Elite. They both have black textured poly material that's reinforced structurally, but the Elite has a handle on the back next to a lock that can be keyed to your ignition key. The SE has a lock that sits on top that's a separate key. One of the things I need less of in life, like another password to remember, is a another key to keep track of.

Unfortunately the Elite isn't made for my truck. I'm guessing they're targeting the population of owners with newer trucks. The Elite is also significantly more expensive.

W/the Flex and Ultra Flex I feel like there are too many moving parts and ways water can get in. With the one piece I don't have to worry about all that. Bed won't be water tight obviously but it'll get a lot more protection. The only thing keeping me from buying it right now is wondering how hard it'll be to take on and off by myself. That may not be possible, or it just may not be a good idea. Given that I rarely haul a cargo load that would require the cover removed, it might not be an issue though.

    Decisions, decision!

Here's a few pics of my Undercover SE for reference I love it secure,100% waterproof, attaches to factory bedrail, takes about 3/4 minutes to remove.

Thanks! The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I saw these photos posted in another thread as I was looking through the site. Cover looks great. Looks like you have a 3d Gen with the rail caps level all the way around, seems like that makes it even easier for the cover to be watertight, having seen the gaskets on the underside of a mini floor model. The only criticism people seem to have of this one is you can't make an unplanned stop to pick up something large. Ever run into that issue? Seems like it'd be a rare thing. Ever hang this up on the wall bracket it comes with? Would love to hear from a 2nd Gen owner with one of these.

I have had undercovers on all my trucks and never had a problem,I just throw them hooks in the junk drawer if I have to take it off I just rest it against my fence.Takes about 2/3 minutes to remove,1 person can do it but it’s always better to have two people .

Yeah, I think I'm pretty much sold. Took a long time to come around to, but it just feels right. The only thing is I wish Undercover made the Elite for my truck. Have you seen that? Nice rear-facing handle on the back with a lock that can be keyed to your ignition. Nothing like yet another key to keep track of. Thanks again for the photos though, makes the decision easier. When a couple more paychecks roll in I'll make the splurge and post some pics.

I was looking for a cheap tonneau after purchasing my truck cause I was broke but still needed something to keep the snow out plus add a bit of security. Ended up with an Access roll up. Gotta say Im actually pretty impressed by this thing. Installation was fairly easy (woulda been easier with a second set of hands), fits well, not completely water tight but pretty darn close, I think it looks good. Its not all that secure, could easily be cut with a knife or razor but in all honesty unless in a high crime area I wouldn't be too concerned leaving semi precious cargo under there while I ran into the store or in my parking lot over night. I think most of the time with thieves, outta site outta mind. That being said I wouldn't put it past a meth head to cut this thing open on the off chance something of value is under there. I guess it kinda depends on what you plan to keep in there, for how long and what kind of areas you will be leaving your truck and for how long it will be unattended. Bang for my buck though, I've felt the Access has done quite well.

Yea I had to go back and look at your pics I didn't understand why you had higher side rails,No tonneau would seal on your truck, you need to remove them side rails, they are definitely aftermarket add ons. and yea they only make the SE and premium for my truck,I actually wanted a undercover classic for mine.Y ea I have a tonneau thread started right before this thread with the same pics, lol well good luck hope I was some help for you.

I think the bed rail cap thing is generational -- the 3rd gens all have the flush ones stock, and I think the ones I have are the 2nd gen stock. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen tons of similar pictures of other 2nd gens online. I've been around and talked to a lot of folks about covers and I'm told they deal with these higher rail caps all the time and it's fine BUT i'm betting the water gets in more with my setup than yours if you're talking about a tri-fold. That's why I really like the idea of the one piece cover that sits over top and mitigates a lot of that. Still need extra gasket seal at the bulkhead I think to keep the water out when moving.

    Your info definitely helped.

Maybe it's only more recent 2nd gens then, I don't know. I was behind a TRD on the highway today that had the same caps I do, and I see them all the time. I wonder what inspired this particular version of caps. Maybe the OEM cover fit into it perfectly somehow.

I talked to Undercover (and a TW member who is an Auto Anything rep) and they've dealt with this before. They include material to seal the gap between the bulkhead and the cover, which is often lower than the side caps regardless. And since the tailgate gets covered anyway I don't care about that gap much. If I wanted it to be 100% waterproof I'd buy a topper (or an SUV).

Thanks! Actually trying to work out the details on a final price and shipping right now.

How long did yours take to ship out to you?
