Hi friends, sorry not much of an update, but some awesome news. My truck got featured in the latest issue of TREAD Magazine and I was honored to be featured on the front cover :) If you're interested, they should now be available on newsstands and Barnes & Noble.

    Thanks!

So everyone has their own ways of acquiring a spot. Invite, request, word of mouth or with a help of maybe a sponsor. I myself work in the automotive industry in marketing. Last year I was asked by a mutual friend if I'd like to build my stock Tacoma at the time for the Rhino Rack booth, which I accepted. Just before SEMA Last year, my truck was used for the unveiling and launch of DECKED USA's mid-sized drawer system. Since then, I've had had the chance to represent them at events and used as their promo vehicle. I have a great relationship them and this year I was invited by their team to display with them and I was happy to accept.

As I mentioned, theres multiple ways of getting your way into SEMA. I suggest started a media deck with details about your build, who you are, what the car will eventually look like with a rendering to the company you'd like to build and how you're going to utilize their product. Some companies will offer you a booth spot if they thing you have the caliber of what they're looking for, or they might offer you a featured spot where the SEMA staff chooses the location of your vehicle, sometimes you'll end up in a very prime spot, or you can be somewhere scattered around the venue. These companies still have to pay for your vehicle to be in a featured location which costs them $500 out of pocket.
