Kinda, brodozer lifts are actually dangerous to crash into, but the USA would riot over night if they banned those lol.

I'd rather hit a lifted truck than rear-end a trailer.

That Tacoma driver must also have a Tesla, cause that's how they drive around here

If that was the case, he would have known that Tesla’s have built in dashcam’s so trying to lie about the accident was futile.

He or she never touched the brakes.
The accident could have easily been avoided, with a car length to spare.

Exactly my point. I am surprised Tacoma's insurance assumed full responsibility.

I'm surprised neither the driver or the "autopilot" (all hail Elon, don't question Elon) didn't stop within a reasonable distance to just avoid the accident.

Too busy signaling and changing lanes instead of applying the brakes. Probably going to fast for that road, if they thought changing lanes was the appropriate action instead of defensively slowing down. Had the driver not changed lanes they would have also avoided making contact with the other vehicle.

That's what I was thinking. Gonna call BS on that, and believe it was quite a bit more, unless there are aftermarket
parts available now. A couple of years ago, one of our vehicles was in the body shop for some work, and there was a Tesla
in the shop. The owner had hit a deer. Granted the windshield had also shattered in that case, but the repairs had exceeded
$20K, and they were still working on it.

People who drive with dashcams will do anything but avoid a car accident. I have a dashcam but I'm not the type of person to crash into somebody so I can get 1000 views on YouTube lol

    ^ that includes tesla drivers

you can look up any car crash compilation video on youtube and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about

That's the other thing I was thinking, juke into the original lane to a avoid the accident...I doubt anyone was in the land they just left...either way, truck is at fault...but the dashcam driver could have avoided that.

Yes the truck is at fault which is the only thing that matters. The truck pulls directly into the left lane as to avoid the on coming vehicle. Which moves from the right lane and into the left lane. For reasons only known to the driver. Then collides with the truck making a u turn in the middle of the road.

Tacoma doesn’t really pull distinctly into either lane, just makes a full diagonal across the road anticipating the gap for the oncoming traffic to pull his stupid ass u-turn.

Friday morning I stoped at a gas station to buy a botttle of water, which was about ten times the price of gas. When I left the gas station and drove through the parking lot. I noticed an unattended shopping cart, I think it was the property of the Harbor Freight store.

When I first saw the shopping cart I thought it was stationary. While driving through the parking lot I noticed the cart moving on the opposite side to the flow of traffic. Instead of not being stationary, and not in the no parking area where I initially saw it.

Had my vehicle made contact with the shopping cart who would be at fault.

Myself driving the correct way in my designated lane of travel?

The individual who left the shopping cart unattended?

    Harbor Freight?

an act of God? Since it was the wind propelling the unattended shopping cart in my direction.

Tesla probably thinking truck making right turn into right lane like they should and either didn’t see Tesla or was cutting them off so Tesla changed lanes to avoid. Then truck went to left lane and made left turn. Tesla was screwed unless they fully stopped when the truck came out which no one would expect to do in that situation.
