Finally about to get 35’s on my 1st gen but I’m debating between the Yokahama Geolander MT and the BFG Ko2. Any opinions or advice on why you think one is better than the other would be appreciated!

Both are great tires. Mybuddy had the Yoko’s on his new Raptor, I had the BFG’s on my last truck. The issue is..... they are COMPLETELY different tires so each will excel in areas and struggle in others.

are you still running stock gears? If so I’d go with an A/T. A 35” MT is going to be HEAVY so any weight savings would help. And if it were me, I’d get the Falken Wildpeak AT3. Great looking tire and performs great on and off road.

Not stock gearing 4.56 and supercharged, so will have no problem pushing heavy 35's also in the 315/75/16 size for the BFG and Geolander both are 68lbs so there isnt actually any weight difference

I have ran both. I like them both. The yoks like to dig in sand and gravel were the bfg wouldn't. But the mt's ride better offroad and have a tone of traction. I did find that when airing the down to lower pressures directional steering is really delayed. Like I almost ran into a tree delay.(I was going at a pretty decent clip but I had gone through the same area, speed and tire pressure with the bfgs and didnt have that problem)That was at 17lbs. But going up 23 ish they handled a lot better. Also the mt's grip way better on the rocks. Just so that your informed. I like both but I don't daily my truck so I'm pretty happy with the Yokohamas.

This seems excessive for so few miles.

    Huh! Interesting!

It looks like 3 outer edge lugs in a row are showing damage to the 'back' corners. Also see something happening on the back side of the center lugs too. Is that the only place on that tire you are seeing it? Any damage to any of the leading edges of the tread blocks?

    Ok, cool. Thanks.

As I've mentioned, this tire is one of several I am considering for my next set. If you see more chunking, or any other issues, I would appreciate any feedback you care to give.
