I just got these tires very recently to replace my factory Toyos on my ‘17 TRD Sport and I’m very happy with their street/DD performance. Very quiet and comfortable. I go off-roading once or twice a year and mostly in the desert or snow, nothing hard core. I also wanted something that are a little more aggressive than street tires but nothing too crazy and these are perfect for what I was looking for. I’ll update this thread if anything negative or interesting comes up in the future.

    I hope this helps.

I would love to hear updates as you go. Been eyeing up these or some Revo3's in 255/75/17 for some extra clearance for the few times a year i get off road. Any reports yet on MPG?

I've been running them for almost two years now I think. A great all-around tire. Not as good off road as some of the more aggressive all terrain tires and it doesn't look as cool. Much better than my old BFG A/Ts in rain and snow. Where I live we get a lot of both so no regrets.

TacomaWorld is a real as it gets... :rimshot:

I just moved from a set of well-worn BF Goodrich "Rugged Trail" T/A P265/70/R16's to Yokohama Geolandar GO15's in the same size.

As with most people considering this tire, my use-case is 90-95% on-road daily-driver / 5% adventure forest-road & light off-road exploring. I have 200-300 miles on them so far, not even fully broken-in yet. Currently running them at about 31 PSI front & rear. I bought 5 of them and will run the full-size spare in 5-tire rotation at 5K rotation intervals.

I mounted the new Yoko tires myself using a manual pedestal-style tire changer and a static bubble balancer. Being on the lighter side these tires are relatively easy to mount.

All 4 Yokos were quite close to being balanced without weights. Each just a single 30-40g wheel weight on each rim. There have been no balance-related issues (vibrations) that I can detect under any driving conditions so far, including "very fast."

This tire is somewhat of a compromise design that leans heavily towards on-road use, as it should for people who drive mostly on-road, particularly at highway speed. I live in a winter wet (rainy) climate and tested the new GO15s in very heavy downpours with plenty of standing water on the highway at 65-75 mph, through highway-radius turns at a moderate downslope as well as on long flat straight sections. They did very well clearing water, in fact I wasn't able to get them to hydroplane at all. No doubt this is in large part due to their 5-straight-channel design, compared to many A/T tires with offset tread patterns with offset channels.

On dry-to-damp hard packed dirt/gravel roads they have excellent traction all the way to 50 mph. I haven't tested them yet on damp-to-sloppy dirt/gravel roads.

On dry highway I've tested them to.. fast... To speeds that I don't care to put in writing on a public forum. Suffice it to say the engine was pushing 4K rpm for a minute or more. They did fine and handled predictably without any vibrations, including through sweeping turns at speed.

They are pretty quiet on the highway though they do hum somewhat. This may be because they're brand-new and not yet worn in.

It's encouraging to read some in-depth reports from people who test these regularly in harsh snow climates, that these tires are probably about as good as it gets before stepping to a dedicated snow/ice tire. I don't go to snow country often, but having tires ready to handle it is part of why I chose the GO15s.

In my opinion these tires could use sidewall siping amount & depth that is double what they actually have, but for whatever reason the GO15 designers chose to go light on the siping. Maybe that is to discourage people from trying to use these in situations that call for a dedicated aggressive AT or MT style tire.

I will update this post periodically, maybe at 10K intervals, with extended use & wear reports.

Thread revival! I've had these on my truck for 3 years now. No complaints. No wild trails, but they've done well on FSRs and some light mud.

I just got back from ~60 miles of moderately rough dry-to-slightly damp CA west-coast single-track dirt forest roads, ~1.5 to 5K ft altitude terrain, at mild to moderate road inclines (not super steep), with average amount of deep potholing and washboard, some chunks of stray sharp rock which I mostly avoided, doing on average 20 to 25 mph, with my truck's normal total fixed + loose payload of ?? 800-1000 lbs, staying aired at the standard 31 PSI highway air level, and they performed excellently. No tire spin at any point, no fishtailing around curves, steering as good as can be expected on a dirt road, fine braking.

Half the time I forgot to put in in 4WD for extra control & traction, and didn't even notice except for the 4WD light not being lit.

100% satisfied with these Yoko Geolandar GO15's for this particular moderate weekend-warrior application.

Did the Mojave Trail with these tires and handled everything I threw at it from jagged rocks, hard packed dirt road to soft sand. On highway, it handles very well and fairly quiet. Only downside is it doesn't look as aggressive as some other tires.

Thumbs-up. Yoko could've put more-aggressive siping on the sidewall for minimal added weight/cost, with very little impact on handling since it doesn't involve the contact patch, for a more-aggressive look.

On the other hand for those of us who prefer a lower-profile less-atttention-grabbing look while still having excellent mild-to-moderate rough road/dry off-road performance, they're great.

IDK what it is about these G015s that makes them grip so well on dry dirt roads, it must be that they put a lot of engineering and testing into the exact tread block shapes and patterns.

Good to get some longer-term reports on use & wear.

How many miles have you put on them?

Do you have a tread-depth gauge and if so, how much tread is left on them? (I think they start at 12/32" depth new, if I recall correctly.)

100%! I'm considering the G015 for my 17s now. Currently running KO2s but considering a change for my next set, either the G015 or a set of the Toyo Open Country AT3 in P load. Decisions decisions.

I just got a set of A/T G015's a week ago. I'd been looking to replace my stock Firestones and I found these on a deal too good to pass up. So far so good. I did take an MPG hit, which I guess should be expected when going from all season to AT tires.

Just curious, what deal did you find for the Yoko G015?

I paid about $200/tire, for the tire itself in a P265/70/R16 size, for the tire only (no mounting, balancing, or disposal of old tires.)

A couple of times a year Toyota dealers in the region have a "buy 3 tires, get the 4th for $1" promotion. There was also a mistake in the online price, but they honored it. My total out the door was $706 and there is a $100 Yokohama mail in rebate. 245/75-16

I do have a tread depth gauge, but my wife has my truck atm. I can maybe check when she gets back. I'm averaging around 6k per year since COVID, so probably less than 20k on them. With the 5 tire rotation, they still look new.

I put them on at 162k and I'm at around 189k, so roughly 29k miles.

Looks like you're on track to get about 55-60K out of them, if you go by 3 to 4/32nds of an inch as the wear limit. (Legal wear limit for tread depth in many US states is 2/32".)
