Are you looking to hike lots or sight see from the car? I've hiked all over Yosemite, you can't really go wrong...

From the car I'd say Glacier Point. Decent drive from the valley but incredible views you'd otherwise have to hike up 4,000 feet for . Easy hike is Mirror Lakes (dry). Bus takes you to the trailhead. Mostly flat along the very bottom of the Half Dome rise. Seen bears close and rockslides from afar. Hard hike, depends how far you wanna go. Clouds Rest is my favorite hike, ever (but would take all day). Mist trail is gorgeous but packed. Thins out people wise after Vernal Falls.

You will like anywhere you go in Yosemite!

Yosemite is a great place to be. We stayed at one of the lodges for a week and used it as base camp. Drove out to Frisco and back in a day, and did Monterrey Bay and back another day. Got to see a lot of the interior of CA, lol. Long days. In the park, I'd recommend spending a couple hours walking through the sequoias. We did the park tour by tram and it was a great way to see all the sites of you have a couple hours to kill.

I remember seeing climbers and it was really hard to grasp that there were actually people on the face of the mountains. They were so high up that the scale seemed off. They were tiny tiny little specs dangling from threads of climbing rope. Crazy.

There are some nice fire/forestry roads around the park. Took my rental Frontier on a few of them. Some of the roads are just wide enough for the truck, a few inches separating the tire from steep dropoffs, but they give great views.

Picture taken after reaching a clearing, accessible via Crane Flat Rd off Hwy 140 in El Portal (just outside the Arch Rock entrance):
