Take them off. Looks cleaner without them.

Hair dryer? Heat gun? Fishing line? And goo gone? I think that’s how I’ve seen it done else where? I really should do it while the truck is new. Before it starts effecting the paint differently.

I used a hair dryer and fishing line to remove the badges from my tailgate, then used mild soapy water to clean it off. No need for goo gone, but I did mine pretty quick.

Hair dryer is safer than heat gun if you've never done it before. Keep it moving and not too close and you will be golden.

Truck looks good. I love those RAM mounts on the air vents.

Thanks.. it’s seriously one of my favorite mods. It’s so simple and makes a huge difference. Bomber tough... no drilling... and really pretty cheap for what you get.

I’ll definitely use a hair dryer and dish soap to remove them, better use elbow grease than hurt the clear coat. Thanks guys.

Just got home from the alignment shop. Went to Firestone and paid $179.99 plus tax for unlimited lifetime alignments. Just having the regular one done once was $79.99 so it seemed like a no brainer to me. I figure I’ll have it done again in a month or so to make sure everything is still solid. Than maybe every few months or if i take a big hit in the trail (or let my wife drive it unsupervised for more than 30 seconds)

Top is pre-alignment. Bottom is obviously afterwards. Caster isn’t green, but according to the shop as long as they are close and matching L and R your GTG.

And of course the obligatory picture of her all shined up. Again...

How do you like the 886 setup without extra weight? Is it really stiff?

Nah... hasn’t even bothered me a bit yet. I’ve got about 4K miles on it since and i really don’t notice. I’ve got skids and sliders to go on pretty soon though.

I certainly don’t feel like it’s too stiff.

Happy to hear that! I have 886 with 5100s getting ready to be installed and the only additional weight I’ll have on is sliders and front skid and possibly a lo-pro type bumper and winch. Happy to hear it’s not too rough riding.
How much lift do you think it got you? Excluding lift from tires

Honestly if i gave you a number I’d be more of a guess than anything. I didn’t do all the measurements like i prob should have. My guess.... 2.5-2.75” it’s perfect with my wheel and tire setup. I couldn’t be happier with the look or function. I would say you definitely made the right choice with the weight you’ll be carrying. Good luck! Post up a picture when it’s done. I’d love to see it.

Been following your thread for awhile love your truck , interested to know what your rear leaf springs are? And how much lower you think 887 would be, scared since I don’t have any extra weight to go with 886s.

    Hey thanks...

Maybe i should spend some time updating this tonight. I’ve done so much to it since.

I run the Full OME Dakar leaf packs (they’re +660lbs). I have a Decked Drawer System in the back (205lbs) plus my GoFastCamper (250lbs) will be arriving this week. I think if I did it again I would not use the 886 springs, since I’m moving my second battery setup to the bed, and going lithium ion. So until i add a front bumper and winch there’s nothing heavy at all over the front end. That said the ride doesn’t bother me. But without a bumper or winch go lighter for sure....

Did you get the GoFast Camper installed? Would love to see it and hear your thoughts. I'm planning a rebuild of my rear setup amd want GFC. Same as you, love the light build and option to stealth camp if really necessary.
