Couldn't really say.

Leading up to release for Saturday, I've been having Mr @Song run logs on the 90mm tune just to clean up a few things before progressing to the 87mm pulley tune.

There's a whole crowd on TW that can answer questions and help you along the way. Once you get TS setup, it is a matter of launching one file and stepping through it.

If your battery is good enough to run on Accessory for 30min (listening to the radio) and start your Taco, then it will be fine for a 10min ECU flash.

 

I am giving very serious consideration to only supporting the latest ECU calibrations for the FI tune, which is what we do for the NA side anyway. And it seems like it's pretty easy for people to reach out to Magnuson for a tune for their updated ECU ID, so they shouldn't be left without a Maggy tune.

This would make it easier to deal with ECU Calibrations too. People would just need to say "my truck is xxxx Model Year, xx transmission", and that's all.

 

im going to do it today or tomorrow, depending how I feel.. tested positive for covid on Monday and have felt like shit since. I really appreciate everyone's encouragement. Ill be ready to roll come Saturday morning. and if I have a question or two, ill reach out.

 

I think this would be the best route.

 

I'm sure that there are several tuners across the nation (and of course the YW network) who would help with Techstream ECU updates, although you'd likely be subject to an hourly rate/charge of theirs.

 

Get well! Likely wait for a clear head at least. When you do, just take your time and read the prompts in the Update Wizard.

Yes! Never flash an ECU ID that does not match yours. vF always shows it when you hit the Prepare ECM button.
