I have had it on for just a few drives.
    Im running non plus/35/GL
    Shifts are a considerable improvement.
The pre maggie oe tune and the maggie tune had spots where the truck was weak/dead and it was really weird and annoying. This just doesnt have any dead spots at all.
I didn't get the maggie for any reason other than the added weight and 35's were almost too much for the 3.5.
I wanted low end torque and for the first time I feel like the maggie was worth it.
MPG is the same at 70mph on a flat road.
Im noticing it must have more low end timing or throttle ramp or a combination of both because it is way more snappy than the maggie tune. Its so snappy on the non plus Id like something maybe stryker minus. I dont want to lose any of that timing maybe just less throttle ramp

Definitely a fine tune. Cant find anything that needs work so far.

The regular Stryker throttle mapping starts off less aggressive than stock.

If you were on maggy's tune previously, then this is likely the first time you're feeling better throttle response (assuming you weren't tuned prior to getting the SC). I would suggest giving yourself some time to adjust. I think you'll grow to enjoy the response. And, based on other reports, it shouldn't give you whiplash from a stop, unless that's your intention.

Sorry for what might seem like a dumb question but if I buy this tune, can I have someone else install it on their computer? I don’t have a pc laptop, only Mac books in my house.
So happy to hear peoples reviews of the tune

Sure, but you should already have VFTuner software from the original Magnuson kit+tune install. Or at least I'm assuming you're supercharged. So out of curiosity, what PC is that software already installed on? It would've been a requirement already in order to flash the Magnuson tune.

An independent shop could have done his install and flashed the tune.

You’re correct, my truck is supercharged, done by Ventura Toyota in California.

Unless there was some unusual deal, you should have been given the vF software and adapter.

yeah the vftuner software and adapter are supposed to belong to the customer as part of the supercharger kit purchase from how I understand it. It's not a separate option that is offered as an add-on item or service, it's included with the kit and literally a requirement for install of the kit.

so the only reasons I can think of the shops keeping the software/adapter is because they don't think the customer needs it, or is capable of using it (maybe innocently saying they're preventing the customer from screwing it up), or they want the customer to have to come back to them for future support (we'll take care of it for you, no problem, bring it on in, $120 shop rate), OR they think it belongs to them as the shop just because they provided the tuning "service" even though all they did was use your purchased tools to do it for you.

I got the cable and what I’m assuming is the software in the cable? They gave me everything from the boxes document wise

So yeah. Your VIN is Unlocked. If you have a good friend / family member that you can use from time to time, then they can install the software on their computer and flash your Taco.

Oh I concur. The customer paid for it, they should be given it whenever they pick their truck up.

Any towing experience on this tune? Would the 87mm pulley still tow fine or is that asking too much from the stock setup?

You download the software from the vftuner website for free. Your installer would have created an account for you basically. So you need that login and what not.

I will be towing with the tune for the first time next Sunday when I haul my 1st gen to the autocross event an hour away. The truck already did pretty good with the shitty Maggy tune, so I have high hopes with this one. Tow weight is somewhere around 4800lbs give or take. I'll be sure to report back, I have no doubts it will do better though.

The 87mm pulley is only going to give you more power, and unless you have an auto, the only thing I really see going wrong is your clutch wearing out sooner rather than later with the increased power even more so than the 90mm pulley.

There any dyno charts for the 6MT NA tune? Or is it all about driveability.
