Thanks. He replied via Facebook to say that he's busy this weekend and so he can't make a trip to Colorado Springs.

Idk if he's got enough free time available if @The Gremlin brings his ecu to him.

I don't think it's a bug like with the 2018 MT, since there's other Stryker 2018AT users who I would think would've said something if their ECUs had bricked.

It's an ECU recovery tool, the steps for which are outlined in the YotaWerx Tuning tune guide supplement if you are a YW tune customer

I just bench flashed with the ECU still installed in a 3GT. Just disconnected the 6 connectors and connected up the 3 that needed connecting. Saves a bit of time doing it that way.

YotaWerx Tuning and Nexus have been collaborating together for several months now on a significant update to our N/A 3.5L Tacoma tunes, a complete overhaul really. This collaboration brings together a wealth of knowledge ranging from Nexus' expertise with transmission control and YW's track record with creating high torque output tunes, including some concepts that translated very well over to the N/A tunes from the Forced Induction side of the house.

Today, the co-named "Blackhawk" tune is unveiled. Several testers have been trying out this tune, testing it across many climates and elevations, providing daily feedback and datalogs to assist in its development.

This morning, the Blackhawk premium fuel tune was run on the dyno against the stock tune; see below for the dynograph.

Coordination and scheduling to dyno the regular fuel tune is in the works as well, and we're looking forward to the results as even on regular fuel, there is excellent and strong power delivery down low in the powerband which is carried smoothly up through the tach.

YotaWerx is aiming for a release on 11 June, but it may drop sooner. If it does, it'll be made available on 03 or 04 June. I will be sure to keep everyone updated. Remember, customers already tuned on YotaWerx tunes for their 3GTacoma can get this tune update for free.

Thanks for using a legit stock dyno pull. 93 octane looks like it helps a little. Nice work.

    Yeah! Congrats!

Collaboration and working together is where it is all at. It really shows in the tune.

ACIS transition is smoothed out through there on the YW-Nexus tune, and not on the stock tune.

Please have your Magnuson tune file available in case flashing it is necessary, although I do not believe this will be needed since I haven't heard anything negative from the other 2018AT 04A61 Stryker customers. After a week of the tune being released, I'd like to think they would have flashed the tune by now and discovered and reported if it was bricking ECUs, but stranger things have happened I suppose.

The bricking/dead pedal bug seems limited to 2018MT.

Test truck ECU versions included the following:
    04B14, 04B04, 04B31/33, 04B80/81, 04B20

On 04B33 and flashing went smooth no issues here still getting the tune broken in by letting it learn my habits for the first 400 miles but loving it so far and drives miles better than the stock Maggie tune! It feels like I actually have a supercharger in it and it feels like even while cruising it wants to go when before it felt like the engine was too small for the truck if that makes sense. Loving it and worth the investment for sure!

Looking at the dyno sheet. I'm surprised there isn't a huge spike in Torque/HP around 3500-3700 when the stock tuned toyota v-tec comes on:rofl:. I've had 3-3rd gens, my newest tacoma had the worst power band of all. Like a damn on/off switch.

You noticed a distinct difference between the variable valve timing between the same models?

Yes, that's deliberate  and I'm sure you can feel the difference in the tune you're running right now
