Yeah that’s about right, maybe creeps up to 2700 if on an uphill grade or with a headwind.

Speed versus RPM in the same gear should never change with an MT?

I think you’re right, it should be a fixed function of the various gear ratios. I don’t remember how it looked on the stock tune, maybe this is part of the surging?
    Definitely not an expert though…

It could be, but that would not be the tune. Honestly, I do not think that the amount of throttle applied by cruise is ever enough to make a clutch slip unless it was seriously gone. I don't believe we can monitored the input side, but I don't think that CC applies more than about 50% throttle. On an AT, this would just cause a downshift.

So, here's how to test. In 4th or 5th at highway speed, got to full throttle for a few seconds. If the revs increase much faster than the speedo, then the clutch is slipping. Pay careful attention as you leave off the throttle. If the revs decrease then hold steady as you leave off, that is also a slipping clutch.

For me on the Stock tune, when I would crest on to a downhill grade that only required a bit of throttle, I would get enough of a constant surge that I would Cancel CC until I got to the bottom. I had one of these grades on my way home from work. Weirdly, the vF 1.05b tunes completely fixed it, and all of the 2.0 Tunes brought it back to varying degrees. But, it is very subtle now. One or two very light surges and then it is steady.

I tested as you suggested and the clutch is fine, definitely not slipping. I agree it seems more like a software issue, and a pretty minor one at that.

Stock tires and AT, surging was prevalent at 75, regular CC (I never use Adaptive). I ran it for only several miles, but was prevalent at slight upgrade, and flat and I think there was slight downgrade also.

I'm curious; does the tip-in and pedal response settings, have any influence on the CC. Does more sensitive pedal settings increase the increment size (step size) for the CC output. If this is unknown, seems we should test two tunes, one with stock pedal response and one with very steep pedal response. Unless you already know for sure?

I am fishing a little here, because using the Stryker GL, and I generally love the pedal response; but when i am in a tight spot, and backing close to something; as well as in some cruising situations; I would prefer more precise (subtle) control with the pedal. I can see that with the truck stock (no SC) that increased pedal response was a desirable band-aid; but with the SC, there is such nice torque available, that additional pedal response seems unnecessary, and to me is sometimes excessive. I do like that there seems to be zero slack or lag in the pedal, I like that!

I am interested in helping out, and could learn how to data log, but I do not make an ideal tester because the truck sits alot, the load varies alot, and I am a long way from the nearest freeway.

yes, sensitive pedal settings play a role too, but it's only part of the picture really.

    That's around 16-1800 rpm probably?

An easy to remember close enough calc is RPM X 0.03 = stock TRD OR MT Speed
    Or speed/.03=RPM

Been having too much fun... almost forgot to write a review. :) I've been running the Stryker tune on my 2018 MT w/ Magnuson SC for a while now. The truck is completely transformed, compared to the tune that came with the SC. It's most noticeable in 1-3 gears in the lower RPMs, where it feels like the truck really wants to move. I'm on 33" tires, lift, and probably a couple hundred pounds of other stuff. Looks like it's on sale now, too!

I just got back from a 3000+ mile road trip from NorCal to Colorado with the Stryker tune in my supercharged 2020 6MT and I haven't gotten over how great the truck drives now. Plenty of power in all situations, on the interstate, on 9,000'-10,000' passes, etc. The added torque was very noticeable on uphill grades where I would have previously needed to downshift. The truck is much more responsive without feeling twitchy, night and day compared to the Maggy tune. I was also worried that the pedal would be excessively responsive when traveling at lower speeds on low traction surfaces, but that was definitely not the case. I haven't tried the Stryker+, the Stryker is perfect for my driving style, but it's good to know that option is included in the purchase price for those who want it.

Long story short, I can't imagine going back to my pre-Stryker/SC days. Definitely recommend picking it up during the holiday sale.

I have a 2018 MT Pro 04A70 basically stock except for the Mag SC.
Need to know what services to buy and where to get help upgrading. The truck is in Houston. And how to order to install in Aug.
