Fueling is not the only thing we have changed for this tune with the rails vs without.

I've considered adding the same adjustments to the tune w/o rails but it'd require appropriate testing of course, to see how that turns out.

Can't wait to flash revised 90 mm tune. Always amazed at the improvement in Tunes created for our SC by YotaWerx!

I’ve not changed my plugs and wonder what, if any, immediate benefits could be realized over stock plugs with less thank 50k on them. I get they should be changed out when switching the fuel rails cuz that’ll be easy.

Rails or not, one step colder plugs are always a great idea for boosted applications because of the role they play in helping to reduce pre-ignition/feedback knock

I have been building motors a long time. Anytime you add boost you should run a colder plug. Same with Nitrous or even adding a significant amount of power NA. 100hp gain necessitates a colder plug. You will run more of a risk not going to a colder plug than running one, regardless how often you go into boost. In my TRD supercharged Tundra I went 2 ranges colder compared to the stock 5.7(Toyota calls for 1) after adding headers, dual 3'' exhaust and a tune and never had any issues. It runs great on the colder plugs.

    That works for me!

Ya think the expensive plugs are worth the extra money?
But what the hell! I’ve spent THIS much on this damn truck there’s no sense in getting cheap now!
    LOL

per the seller --- these come pre-gap to 0.036 ??? should they be re-gapped to 0.030 for our SC use ? @mZiggy ??

I can't remember where it was but I'd found somewhere that said stock gap for the 3GTacoma was 0.031

Personally, I would call the range of 0.031-0.028 acceptable for 87mm and 90mm, and 0.030-0.029 would be my recommendation. People getting the rails to go along with the 87mm pulley may find value in going to 0.028

I ran 0.028 on my one-step-colder plugs with my Twin Turbo kit.

Regardless, I would not go narrower unless a need to do so is found/determined. 0.028 is already pretty narrow as it is.

Thanks for responding. NKG site / sellers (for PN 91961) show these are 0.036 pre-gap by the manufacturer, so it looks like we should be prepared to re-gap to 0.030 for our needs - but as noted some may desire to go tighter to 0.028. I will look for these to do an install this winter when I have nothing better to do but wait until the snow has melted and the roads are ready for my SC Tacoma towing experiences to continue. Thanks again for conformation.

Vince out in Las Vegas got his Magnuson supercharged 2021 Tacoma tuned on the Stryker tune this morning and noticed the benefits immediately, to include the superior transmission control, additional throttle response, and more power and torque throughout the rpm band especially down low where it's needed.
