Yesterday we met up with Mr Juan Garcia locally in El Paso to get him set up on the 90mm Stryker+ tune for his beautiful 2018 Tacoma with the Magnuson supercharger. Juan has plans to eventually go up to the 87mm pulley with the accompanying 87mm Stryker tune upgrade, as well as some exhaust goodies coming his way soon.

Mr Garcia is benefitting from improved throttle response, a complete shift logic and transmission control overhaul, and a significant improvement in power and torque especially down low with his new Stryker tune.

For the 3.5L NA Tacoma, flash kits bundled with our tune pack are $650+tax, shipping included for CONUS & Hawaii.

 

Sweet! What tune is included with that and is that include the 10% Christmas discount from IG!?

 

The prices quoted above are normal pricing, before any applicable discounts or sales. Our Christmas/New Year's sale would apply.

The tune bundled with the flash kit would be the Blackhawk tune that we offer for the 3.5L, with both of our "Weekend Warrior" and "Active Duty" tune versions, as well as Regular fuel + octane learning and a dedicated premium fuel version for each, as well as versions with and without gearlock (8 tune files in total).

I was finally able to get my Stryker tune, I know other people have said that it runs like a completely different truck, and I had a hard time understanding, or even believed that claim...

But it is absolutely the only way to describe what having the tune feels like, COMPLETELY different, I didn't do the stryker+, but I did do the gear lock, and I absolutely love, love, love it!!!

I have only put about 200 miles on it so far, so it's still making adjustments, but if anybody is on the fence about tuning, DO IT!!!

I won't waste any more time telling the specifics, because they've all been said hear before, but its all true, special thanks to ktbell444, for the help, I have a 2021, so there are some steps that had to be done because the '21 has some peculiar changes that needed to be done!!!

Absolutely worth every penny, sooo appreciative for all the help I got from folks on here!!!

Looking like my Tacoma days are numbered... interior space is getting cramped with the kids getting older. I'm looking at a new 2023 Tundra. Working on anything for the new V6???

 

Unfortunately VFTuner doesn't have tuning support for the 2022+ Tundra, and has indicated publicly to people asking about support that there's no current ETA. I don't know the actual reason why, but I'd guess it has to do with the added security protocols tied to the newer versions of Toyota Techstream (requires a security key tied to a dealership) and likely included in the new ECUs. Word on the street is Toyota isn't happy with how many people out there are using TIS on their own. Seems likely that the same or similar sort of walls are up on the vehicle ECUs making tuning support especially difficult to develop.
