I’ve just received the YW tune and I am enjoying it. I’m waiting for the gears to be installed and then it will be proper and ready for a final opinion.
Runnin4Tacos even said they would flash the update for free when it’s released this year.

just a short report on the YotaWerx Stryker Tune: Finished a 1500-mile trip from base camp (Golden CO) to just west of Bozeman MT - one day of travel each way. I'm a believer in stops every few hours (if you are over 67 you will understand, and if not, well I remember those days) and driving 70 mph cause the truck likes it. Averaged 20 1/4 mpg which is pretty good if you know what face on into the wind in Wyoming is like. Plenty of power to and drove effortlessly. Nice job @mZiggy and the crew!

Some 5vz ECUs have become supported in-software, but we'd want a tester for any dev

^these are the 4 ECU IDs currently supported for the 5vz

If you have an OBD code reader of some sort, most can identify ECU Calibration info. If you elect to do so, send me a PM with that or send us an email and we can explore tuning options. Options available to you will likely be limited however for the following reason: currently VFTuner's model/structure for tuning K-line ECUs is not very feasible financially except in one or two very specific methods/scenarios

Can anyone help? I am trying to load an updated Striker tune, and get VF tuner up, connect to truck and verify ECM appears to succeed. then i cannot select calibration file without error. One file says it is not a .vfc file (though I can clearly see that it is), and the other says ERROR Access Violation at address 00C95171 in module 'vf Tuner.exe", Read of address FFFFFFFF8.

I had decided to skip updating my VfTuner software, but with this problem I went and updated; same problem.

Last time I did this is was no problem, hope someone can help.

Hello, happy to help you out.

At face value I'd chalk this up to VFTuner "being VFTuner". I'll send you a message in our email thread.

I'd consider restarting your laptop and software for starters. If this persists, I'll re-export your files, but oddities like this have been more prevalent over the course of the last several VFTuner updates unfortunately, and it seems to just be a frustrating quirk of the software.

    OK,

rebooted computer, no change, tried other USB ports before and after reboot, no change, wifi always available and VFTuner software was always happy to open, and to prepare ECM, just will not load calibration file.

Interesting that it is happy to load any of the original Striker tunes, but will not load any tunes provided including the test tunes sent last fall, regarding CC surge. Since it will load the known good original tunes, I suspect a problem with the recent tunes, not the main software. I am questioning if it is worth uninstalling VFTuner and re-installing?

It is certain that it will load the original Striker tunes, because i had been running a throttle limited version, and just not loaded the original Striker w GL, no problem. Test drive seems great.

    Is it worth uninstalling VFTuner?

I'll re-export your tune files for you but it's worth uninstalling/reinstalling.

Any tunes for the 4.0 with a manual trans? Also curious if this tune will help remedy the rev hang issue with the MT trucks.

Hello, yes we support the 4.0L MT.

Tuning can help but there will always be a limit due to physics. At the end of the day, it's still a truck and the components in use reflect that.

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels

I'm almost certain it's been asked before, but is there a way to tune a direct 1:1 for pedal position:throttle position? Or is it map based for torque\air\whatever load?

I'd be curious to experiment with it...

We could do it, but it can very rapidly feel too aggressive, not to mention there's other factors that can influence your throttle position on a throttle by wire vehicle.

That said, we used to offer something approaching this a long time ago and can go back down this rabbit hole with you on the side if you'd like.

Nah, if it's already been tested and basically determined to not be better then I'm ok with that.

    I was just genuinely curious.

The current Stryker tune I have is pretty damn amazing, so I'm def happy. I don't even honestly feel the need for full throttle control, because the truck moves like I want it to before my foot has a chance to reach the floor. Lmao
