I have gone back to KDMax 10. I do most of my driving between 20 and 50mph. The jerking around 24-25 mph is too much. Feel it may even be damaging at some point. Hopefully there is a fix for that in near future.

Has anyone been able to get a hold of Yota Werx at all? I've been asking for a tune file through their email since July 13th...

I reached out to them a couple weeks ago for an updated tune file and he responded quickly stating he'd get me the file the next day. I let a week go by and reached out again as a reminder, still nothing. Not like him\them at all. Maybe they have something going on? Idk

That's interesting. I've reach out 11 times since then and only got 2 responses. The last one being a month ago.

I also haven't been asking for anything crazy. Downsized from 33s to 32s and they recommended to run a 31" tune so I asked for that and its basically gone nowhere since then.

Got your tune submission in Ron, thanks for your patience! I didn't want to be in the middle and slow the process down for you but "many hands make light work" in this case. I will follow up tomorrow by my end of day to get you updated! Thank you again @Tacodog

This may have been asked and answered before but I couldn't find any info on the possible customization of the torque converter behavior. Specifically if the 6 speed auto in the 3rd gen can be programmed to fully lock up the torque converter in 3rd gear. From my observation and understanding the torque converter will only lock up in 4th, 5th, and 6th. Sometimes while towing on a steep grade I need to be in 3rd gear to maintain speed but in 3rd the torque converter unlocks and the transmission then begins building up heat. If it could lock up fully in 3rd then I could stay in 3rd without having to be concerned with the transmission building up heat. I have a large aftermarket transmission cooler and rarely see temps over 220F while pulling up a steep grade, but I would prefer to not see it get over 210. I am really hoping that the ECT button can be set up as a tow mode that will hold the gears for a bit longer, and gear lock with torque converter lockup in 3rd-6th in S-Mode.

I fought with this as well. My answer ended up being 5.29’s and now towing is no longer dramatic.

I just upgraded to 5.29 with an e-locker in the front and put on some skinny Kenda 35x10.50R17. I finished the 500 mi break in and changed he gear oil. I have not towed my trailer yet since the re-gear but I am impressed with the feel of the truck with the new gears. I will take a few short trips with the trailer soon per the ECGS break in instructions for towing and then get out with the trailer up to the mountains and see how it does.

Full lock is controled by ecu based on many parameters. Tunes only control lockup solenoid (SLU).
BH tunes turn SLU On at low speeds in 2nd and 3rd. So you should see TC getting fully lock.
I cannot verify it. I dont stay in 3rd longer, plus I prefer have SLU Off in 3rd for low speeds.
If you monitor, you should be able to see the full lock status parameter.

A follow up email is welcomed for priority. I'm currently 3 weeks into the backtracking of emails. Should be up to date by this weekend.

You would have been dealing with Christian, sir.

I have not held any active role within YotaWerx since 20 June 2024, with my last day of actual activity on behalf of the business being 13 June.

Can anyone post a dyno for the Blackhawk and KDMax 10 tunes? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the switch, and frankly wasn't impressed when I purchased the KDM tune. I'm sure for the auto folks having better shift logic is important but for us MT folks more/smoother power delivery is really all that matters.

We can work something out for you! I am working on the new phase of tuning, and major changes happening in the structure of everythin. I can add that to the list and get out to the public. ETA would probably be closer to the end of the year.
