    Why is my toyota tacoma 4×4 96 3.4 manual if i put it in gear i have to rev it in order to get it to budge when i let the clutch out an even tben it barely goes then it starts smoking top speed is 15 to 20

    What have you tried to fix this, and what is your level of mechanical intuition and ability? Most people start with checking the master and slave cylinders to ensure they are in working order, then maybe checking the cables. If those sound above your ability, it's probably best to take the truck to a shop.

    Welcome to TW, where you can turn bad news into good news with a little determination and some tools. :p If the the clutch master/slave check out, the clutch pressure plate is probably toast. It's not an impossible job to do by yourself, even easier with a transmission jack, but requires dropping the transmission/transfer case.
