Yes only to flip it and then buy something that's more practical than a vehicle where you are inclined to polish the wheels.. POLISH THE WHEELS!? are you freakin' kiddin' me..

In a New York minute!!! Like others have said, BMW is worth more..... Drive it for a month and put it up for sale. Then you could buy another brand new Taco and hook it the fuck up with all the extra money you would get from the sale!!! Go for it Bro!!

Well I wouldn't and for a few reasons. I'm a student and maintanence would be a killer, if anything did break on it (and trust me it would with me driving) secondly I like 4 wheel drive and thirldly its a BMw now if it said amg on it, it might be another story. Hopefully I can get myself a nice german sports car after school is done. But like they have said if its a real deal trade sell it and buy a new taco and mod it the way you want.

Well, I was a test driver and test tech for the development of the Holden Commodore - nice car but compared to an M3? Well let's just say it's like saying a Cadillac CTS-V is a nicer vehicle than a 911 GT3.

    That's all.

Well, I hate to admit it, but I have beaten the piss out of my M3 and can happily say that after 112,000 (bought it new) the only mechanical failure I've had was a radiator and the ground effects up front (those damn parking blocks with rebar sticking out!). I have done the brakes 3 times, and changed the fluids on a regular basis. I have more into repairs on my 09 taco than I ever did on my M3 - oh and BTW it's been off-road more than 50% of the trucks on this site. Thats all. :D

Oh, one other thing, I never had to do any 'mods' to make it what it wasn't. :)

Yep. I would drive it like I stole it for about a week. Then walk into toyota with a pocket full of cash from when I sold it and buy a TRD OR 4x4.

I'd take it, that M3 is worth quite a bit more than the Taco. Then I would sell the M3, buy my Taco back and use the cash difference for 4x4 conversion.

Oh I lied. I also had to replace two $1.50 nylon peices for the driver's side window, a brake switch (ordered from Pelican Parts), and 2 OEM window regulator switches. I've bought the spark plugs (supposed to be changed out at 100k) but haven't installed them. All-in-all, if BMW made an offroad truck, I'd buy it! :)

It might look like Mr. Bill Caswell's rides... this one that I met during our attempt of Baja 1000

Do some research on BMWs hi pressure fuel pumps before you seriously consider one......I know two people who dumped their 09 and 10 because of this issue. BMW has offered to extend the warranty on that part but that does nothing if it fails between Barstow and Las Vegas in July. A dealer I wnet to when I was jonesing for a 2 door coupe played dumb on the well documented issue.....

Oh and no i would not....been there Almost bought an Infinity G37 and ought the Honda Couple instead and tired of it in less than two years. The ride sucked and is worse on the BMW......as I like to say you run over a paper cup you will hit your head on the headliner.

You have a 2011 TRD, so no; I have a 2005 with 116k on it, so yes.

x2 As in my other post, I have 116k on an 05, but the OP with a 2011 TRD, I would not do it. I would assume everything is good and functioning on the M3, so trade, and I'll trade-in for a larger down payment towards a new Tacoma.
