I seem to have found a fix. Unless you battery is t 100% charged (mine was “fresh” off the Costco shelf and not fully charged) and you set the fridge to eco and L it actually gets both zones to the temp.
From what I have been told, any 12v dual zone fridge has a hard time sitting exactly where you set it and will bounce above and below temp slightly.

I have a CFX35 protective cover available for sale if anyone needs. I believe they have some insulation but not the most; more can be added.

shells don’t come insulated. And their windows even less so.
I don’t know if a cab is more insulated, or how much more. Or if a fan helps.
White roof colors. Maybe running a fan.

shell windows also don’t get cracked as much as a cab with rain visors, and period driving that lets it cool with window down air flow or A/C.

100w and 400w are also both not the most power, and secondary battery supply may be a factor.
I don’t know how suited such a setup is long term to AZ vs something like an ambulance conversion that can have more solar panels and an A/C.

I had mine in the cab to have room to sleep in the shell and access the fridge any time.

Yea I was looking at those. We do have some insulation for the camper windows. Might fashion some of this around the Dometic during the
warmer months and then re-purpose for the camper in cooler months. It is of some concern here in Arizona, but the dometic will be riding in
the back of the A/Cab on a platform so it would be somewhat cooler to begin with.
