Yes. It says the trailer had a 347# tongue weight. That is static(parked) if you are racing down a bumpy load it is getting slammed down at more then 1g.

On a different topic, Did Chevy really think this was a good idea for their stock rims?

To be fair, Toyota did have it's own robo-ween wheel phase:

Anybody driving a tacoma should hold back comments on the Chevy's frame. It's not like toyota ever had any rusty frame issues......

When the last time you bent or cracked one off roading on said bump. Rust is a completely different issue, rust has nothing to with the strength of the frame, I would consider that a control issue of it not being correctly coated post production etc. oh yeah and I believe they replaced them at no cost to the owner.

If this truly is a weakness with the Colorado, wouldn't we have seen more pics like this by now? The thing has been out a few years....

The truth came out. He hit a whoop way to fast while having the trailer hooked on. In the one pic on social media you can see even the trailer axle is bent pretty bad.

Hit a bump, but in what direction of travel? And what speed? If it was reverse and the trailer came to an abrupt halt it wouldn't take much. I bent the reach on my boat trailer by reversing into a curb at slow speed. Had it been more solid material all the energy would have gone into my trucks frame, A tow hitch is like a big pry bar in that situation.

WTF are you talking about? A small bit of surface rust no, but the scaling and rotting that Toyota has had thousands of issues with.... yes
