Just did a search on "truck frame bent while wheeling" and F150 Raptors popped up. Apparently it's a known event for aussies too, notably double cabs though no brand was mentioned as being particularly susceptible.

There was a 2nd gen here on TW maybe a year or so ago that had this happen...he was cruising through the desert going about 40mph IIRC, with a fully loaded bed (RTT, gear, the works) but no trailer. Hit a rut that he didn't see until it was too late and buckled the rear of his frame.

I don't remember what came of it but I want to say he got it fixed, I remember it didn't look as bad as this ZR2 does but his frame was noticeably bent on both sides in the rear, right where the bump stops hit the frame.

And people ask why I don't jump my truck or do the 'go fast' stuff

Gonna see if I can find the thread, unless someone else posted it in here already

    edit: found it...

Shouldn't most people expect this to happen if they abuse their trucks to the extreme? Jumps, etc

Cheap tool or wrong tool can fail. If this remains a relatively isolated issue then yes, driver incompetence is all there is. If not, then don't buy a Colorado for offroading(use the right tool for the job).

I beg your pardon. What makes you question the source? Do you think all of those broke back trucks as well as the rusted frames were all photo shopped? That said, the numerous quantity of pics showing what is apparently the same problem repeated on identical vehicles lends its own credulity. All that aside, my comment was expressing my amazement at the level of rust decomposition of the frames rather than surprise it occurred to a particular brand. With cars and trucks of the same maker built and marketed in countries all over the world maintaining consistent quality must be a full time headache and Spain was where those trucks in particular were made. Must be a slow day in nitpicville or your decaf was cold.
