Well I received my tool box today so I guess I’ll give an honest review of it. Box was received undamaged so all should be well.

Well I opened it, first impression was good, but slowly became disappointed. First issue no kbvoodoo badge(not the end of the world as don’t need it). So in its place is to empty holes. Opened the lockable door, has a nice hinge and feels tight. Issue is lockable door has no seals at all. The lock only came with 1 key. Moving on to the drawers. The right ones opens fine and smooth. Initially the left would only open half way. The slider on the far left was blocked by the box itself from opening. I decided rather than deal with the hassle of returns to fix myself.

So my overall impression, metal is soft and thin, only one key kind of sucks, two open holes due to no badge, and a drawer that wouldn’t fully open. Pretty pricy for something that doesn’t function without modifying.

To be fair I have not contacted KB voodoo as I am stationed in Germany and it is way to big of a hassle and expense to ship it back.

Still awaiting mounting brackets, I’ll update how the install goes when I receive them.

The stainless steel nameplate is on the way with your mounting brackets.

The metal is aluminum and standard thickness for any toolbox. It is very sturdy. If it was any heavier, we would have to ship by freight.

You can have a copy of the key made for about $2.

It takes a little while for the doors to "break in", but once they do they are very smooth.

The lockable door doesn't need seals. I've pressure washed mine with no leakage.

All valid points, I guess being on the older side of life I just expected to show up without having to make a drawer work and make another copy. I was just sharing my experience, not being over critical. The drawer wouldn’t open because the side was blocking the second stage of the slider. (Maybe an isolated thing or maybe something you would like to check on for future buyers.

Either way thank you for the box

I haven't seen any issues with slider interference yet and I have the same box on my truck.

When you get a chance, send some pics to support@kbvoodoo.com so I can look it over.

Your brackets, mounting hardware, and nameplate should be there any day.

I'm pretty sure it will clear, but to be safe, you should take a couple measurements.

The box extends down 7.5" from the top of the accessory rail, and it is 52" wide.

Did not fit my Tacoma with BAK flip MX4 . The relocation brackets for the rail caused it to be about an inch to narrow to fit the box. Forgive me I am in Europe so only measuring devise I have is in metric. The box measures about 132cm and the the gap between the brackets measured just under 130cm

    Update:
So while I had complaints about the box post #231. The brackets and hardware are of Nice quality. Overall the box is nice and I wish it would have fit.

We are going to make a mounting bracket specific to the Bakflip covers.

Can you provide the inside width between your accessory rails?

I measured out 55 1/2 inches from outer edge to outer edge of the rails.

Excellent. That's two people with the same measurement. We like consistency.

Brackets for Bakflip covers are on the way.

    I am impressed.

Thank you, any ideas when they may be available? As I would have to pay shipping to return to you from Germany I may just buy the new bracket out right.
