Going on 24 years now with 121,000+ miles on it...tires, brakes, oil and batteries are the only things it's needed. Wait, I did do a cam upgrade back around 2013 or so. It's taken me from coast-to-coast, border-to-border and damn near everywhere in between.
Used to just put the sidecar on for camping trips, grandkids rides, funeral escorts (side gig) etc... But now I pretty much leave it on all the time as:
    1. I don't heal like I used to and falling over sucks more than ever.
    2. See #1
    Happy Motorin'...;)

Love the Camper. We been looking at getting something soon to replace my old popup that I've had for years. Seen one of these listed on a lot used and want to know more about them.
How much does it weigh and how well does the tacoma handle pulling it? Also what is the layout like? the one we seen had a rear kitchen, slide out couch/dinette with front bed.

Only other vehicles I've got are a 2010 Specalized mountain bike, 2009 Coachman pop-up camper and partners 2015 wrangler unlimited.

2655 dry, 1035 cargo weight. Usual towed weight is ~ 3200, tw 400 but I have gone to the max towed weight of 3600 on occasion with no problem. Truck handles it well using S4, cruising at 90~95 kph around 2700 rpm, trans pan temp ~180*f. (discalaimer: tuned, scangauge, helper springs on rear suspension, trans cooler pinned open and all flat land towing so far).
This model (2019 Rpod179) has the rear galley with lots of counter space, ample storage, but a small (4cu ft) 3 way fridge. Shallow slide out w/couch/bed, standalone table. Front bed is east/west so whoever is on the inside has to climb over his partner if nature is calling. The head is a bit tight if you’re on the larger side and is also a wet bath.

(The camper qualifies as a vehicle, so technically, it’s my other vehicle.:anonymous:)

Other car is a Subaru Forester 2017. Great vehicle.

Still looking for that one single vehicle that can serve all of my needs, though: Open bed, interior cargo storage, comfort on trips, great gas mileage, good power for towing, fits in garage, ... the list goes on.

Interesting technique pinning open the transmission cooler. Have there been issues with it not opening soon enough?

Nissan are running specials on Titans rn lol

What I noticed is that, for me, it opened at too high a temp, and, when it did open was not adequate to cool everything back down. I found that if I pinned it open prior to towing it keeps the pan temp under 185*f and the TC temp gets back down quicker once it locks up.

Old pic, but still my current daily driver and former weekend adventure mobile, 2017 base Forester. Still a fantastic little car that just hit 110k miles. I have Open Country A/T 3's on it and it does great on fire roads.

Super simple. Just make sure whatever pin or Allen key you use goes all the way through, instead of just one side since you'll be driving.

It'll make sense once you see a pic lol

Have an E36 M3 track car that is currently in need of a bit of a rebuild after owning it for ~15+ years now, and my wife's Crosstrek, which I seem to drive much more than the Tacoma now.

My wife’s DD is a 2017 Maxima Platinum. Thing is a true rocket. My DD is a 2000 Pathfinder rigged up for off-road adventures. Not gonna put my Tacoma through the wringer as yet. MTGIMG_2617.jpg
