Makes sense to me. Practicality is how I look at my truck as well, does it do everything more expensive or larger trucks do? No, but it suits my needs and has been beyond reliable. Now my project car, that will be no where near practical, but it will be fast.

Not greedy, 50 more hp would make the taco so much more enjoyable to drive.

Like the majority of us, you wish your truck was better at running over, I mean pampering your mother in law.

I wish you were closer. I would hook you with that torque stuff.

    There's a solution:

    Quite nice.

I think this would be my choice as well. A fully mechanical transfer case w/ shifter, similar to the old 3rd Gen 4Runners and 1st Gen Tacos.

Also, I think having a 4.30 gear ratio for the AT's would have helped minimize the perceived lack of torque...or having the 4.0L motor from the current 4Runner.

That can be changed or turned off. I can't remember if it is in the head unit, but definitely in TechStream or the Carista app.

My Porsche love stops at the 993. I've tried to make peace with the water-cooled and just can't.

I think I would like 4.10 gears on the automatic. Maybe a rear locker with 4.10 gears on a 4x4SR? Yeah.

Sure, I'll never realistically need the locker, but you know...

It’s in the head unit on my truck, not sure about the upper level trim levels.

A multi function tailgate like in the commercials.

Seriously though, I'd rather have an old school radio the touch screen sux.
