heres a google sat image of most of the property with the lines drawn in yellow as best i can remember them and pick out landmarks...its a lot easier on the ground to identify

the location of the fire is denoted by red...our house/barns are in the blue area...i took my truck pics today in the clearing marked with a green dot

If you have some, 150 acres? then we will come and drive all over it on "Patroll" to keep those people out. We will need a Port A Pottie, grill area, KegERAtor and internet access

i would love that...however most of it is not accessible even in my truck...and theres definately no power anywhere but the house...

you'll just have to steal the bastard neighbors power/internet and spend a lot of time on your feet...or bring a dirt bike/4wheeler and not be afraid of trees

Start a fire beside one of those houses closest to your property.

well i sent the pics to my dad...he called my uncle...who has already had a little chit chat with the homeowners...apparently they set off fireworks for new years eve and one landed on our property and lit up...

cant explain why their grass looks burnt though

will i would let you come hunt...but theres not a big enough population of anything to really hunt out there...my uncle and cousin bow hunt out there but they have brought home 2 deer in the past 5 years

It's a shame about the new "neighbors". I guess one upside to the economic meltdown is fewer new developments being put in. I realize people need to live somewhere, but clear cutting prime woods and putting up those big boxes is just wrong.

it does suck...but unfortunately that land had to be sold to pay for some medical expenses awhile back...and that was the best way to pay for them at the time...

my grandparents sold as little as possible and under the circumstances...this neighborhood is way better than what they couldve put in...

the yards and houses both are very large and open and theyre not regular slap em up housing...each one was built custom to the buyer's specs

we've been made several offers on the remaining property (minus where we have buildings) as its in an incredibly PRIME location but the entire family refuses to sell anymore after dealing with a neighborhood next to us

    Jeff,
My wife could transfer to SC easily as far as I know. In return for room and board (the house used for drinking/partying) I could patrol said property. Seriously!

What idiots... not only did they let it get out... but this is the wrong time of the year to burn... you burn in the spring when the new grass starts sprouting

Get a ten pound bag of salt and write them a note ( in the grass ) explaining on how unhappy you are about this mishap and how they should of come over and informed you, then draw a big ass happy face :)
