You know you drive slow when you get passed by an elderly woman driving a minivan. And when you get 27.1MPG in your 2016 Taco (data based on 238.6 miles driven on urban roads and some highway in Tampa, FL).

I've been using ethanol free fuel and driving conservatively. I frequently get cut off and flipped the bird. I have a good chuckle watching the offenders slam on their brakes after their race to the red light.

My last Tacoma was a 2005 AC PreRunner TRD Off-Road. It had 121,000 miles on it when I traded it in. Purchased a 2016 Access Cab SR5 with 44,000 miles on it. 1 owner, no accidents, certified, $22K out the door.

Everyone passes me and I mean everyone. If I don’t hear horns honking behind me I’m driving too fast

Is that the 2.7 or 3.5? I averaged 24.8 with the stock tires on my 3.5. The gf gets a little over 28 with her 2.7

Driving conservatively is one thing. Driving in a manner that causes other people to frequently flip you off, and worse, bragging about it, suggests that you're a self-absorbed asshole with very little self-awareness.

She was in great shape, new-ish bilstein 5100's, fixed the compass after a resister melted off, all fresh fluids all the time, new frame and leaf springs from the warranty work.

3.5 V6. My father urged me to go for a 4 cylinder but I tow occasionally so I need the extra power.

I was in a rented 2018 Corolla for a week before the purchase as my girlfriend was driving my truck (damn chevy colorado water pumps, third one on her truck!!); the Corolla was getting me 50MPG on good day, 45MPG on a bad day. Sweet little car.

Haven't towed with it yet. So far this has all been commuting to and from work. I manage a law firm in downtown Tampa. My old man flips real estate so I do the running for the supplies after business hours. His Chevy Volt isn't built for towing, despite how much he'd love to try!

Three things I hate on the road - Minivans, Sports/muscle cars going 10 under and the old person that hits it like the NHRA lights just turned green to pull out in front of you just to go half the speed limit seconds later....and now a forth! I don't care to got 20 over, I do about 5 over and don't complain if someone is doing the limit, but hate slow ass drivers, if you can't drive then don't, call a cab or uber.

I'm with you on that, I frequently see people doing 40-45mph on 55mph roads. I do the speed limit in the right lane. If I'm in the left lane I get out of the way when someone is coming up behind me. Being careful and courteous while driving a 4000lb metal death trap goes a long way.

My trick to get the best gas mileage is not to be in a rush. Coast to the red light if possible. There's no point in hammering the pedal when coming up to a light. All it does it send stress hormones coursing through your veins, wastes gas, and slowly damages your vehicle.

I'm 26 years old and have paid way too much money in speeding tickets over the years. My first new car was a 2012 VW GLI, she was slick and fast, but it cost me in the long run.

When I drive I notice my passengers are always at ease. Our roads aren't a drag strip. People are just out of control. We live in a fast paced world. A lot of people need to chill out and take a deep breath.

My wife insists on driving at the speed limit when she's behind the wheel. Her car is a 2018 Avalon which as a lot of zip especially in sports mode (never in sports mode when she's driving). Cars will be whizzing past us on both sides and I tell her to just keep up with the traffic. Nope, "you want me to get a ticket" she spouts. "No honey, if all the cars are going the same speed and are reasonably close to the speed limit (5-8 mph over) they are not going to pull them all over, but they might single out the slow poke". Then the death stair and she continues on at or below the speed limit. /sigh/

She can be ticketed for failure to keep right, as well. Impeding traffic is also a danger to herself and those around her. (Failure to keep right is my largest road peeve.)

people here in NC just get in the left lane and sit there, they don't even move over, I am usually passing them in the right lane and always try to stay within 5 of the speed limit, sometimes have to speed up in order to pass...lol, I also have to drive 5-8 miler of my daily commute each way on 2 lane roads and most of the time people are 5-10 under the speed limit and people never pass..plus there are police everywhere around Wilmington..

That’s everywhere here in USA and police doesn’t enforce the “slow cars keep right” rule or law. And most of the people don’t give a shit and hug the left lane.

Driving the speed limit is cool with me as long as you stay out of the left lane not holding up traffic. I feel I need to go to the right lane to pass people lately these days. Some have some kind of obsession about getting and staying in that left lane no matter what speed they're doing and will not give it up either.

I see how that is frustrating, but going the speed limit in the fast lane is 100% legal.

It's just one of those laws vs the real world things, some things just dont make sense
